I was told to be on notice about a scam when people call asking questions such as "is your computer on"? (which just happened to me today) in which case, the response is recorded and used for fraudulent "voice-verification" purposes such as approval on credit card purchases. I answered, but hopefully it doesn't negatively impact me.

No one responded when I answered the phone. After saying "Hello?" a few times, I finally heard a voice - a woman's voice apologize and say she was sorry, was having problems with her headset. She may have also asked if I could hear her. Then, what sounded like a real voice (as opposed to a robocall voice), the caller launched into a spiel about how, based on a recent resort stay, I have won a prize for an X number night stay, etc., etc. The call never said what resort I had stayed at, etc. I tried to interrupt to ask more qualifying questions but the spiel continued, which is what indicated it was a recording. I hung up immediately. After Google-ing this number, I didn't see any reports; however, a few days later I learned this is a phone scam getting the caller to say "YES" (to the, "Can you hear me?" question) so that the call can be manipulated in a way to make it sound like the recipient agreed to purchases.

Called and asked me "if I was ---- --------." and I said yes and they hung up immediately. I assume this is the "yes" phone scam. Not sure yet whether any money is targeted or not. My bank is closed. I'll call tomorrow. I think this is an attempt to make charges on my account.

When I answered the call, woman said, "Oh, sorry. I had some trouble with my headset." Then she said since I was a former guest at one of their resorts, I could receive a free plane trip to Orlando, lodging, meals, tickets to theme parks, then a free two-day cruise to the Bahamas. Asked if she could transfer me to another person to set up my trip. I asked what resort she thought I had ever been to, as I do not go to resorts. She asked again if she could transfer me and I said no. She hung up.

Person named Josh called and said he was from the Service department and asked if I could hear him ok. (That part sounded like a live person but could have been a good recording.) I foolishly answered yes without thinking. He said good then went on to describe some free travel like Disney tickets, etc (the part after him saying "good" was a recording I believe) but I hung up after a matter of seconds. I was distracted when the call came in and didn't realize what it was until too late. Seeing that it was a WI number and hearing what sounded like a real person caused me to let my guard down.

This person was part of the "Can you hear me now scam" They already had my name and when I answered Hello, they confirmed me by my name and then started rambling off a bunch of false information and refused to be interrupted. I hung up and attempted to call the number back, which it did not ring.

Received a call, gentleman's voice ask if I could hear him ok. I answered yes, voice went into a diatribe that I was selected for a discount vacation home. Told him not interested and hung up. This was on Feb 1, 2017. Just learned this evening it was a scam and my yes answer could be used against me. Really mad now.

I've been receiving phone calls from a "Car Warranty Department". It's a recording and asks if I want to speak to a representative. I've been hanging up or saying "no". When I've said no, the call disconnects.
I've received 5 calls in the last 24 hours. Finally, in an attempt to talk to a person to ask them to stop calling, I said "yes" and the call disconnected.
