Received a voice mail from someone claiming social security indicating that I needed to call them back immediately or legal action would be taken. When I told them when I was not on SS they indicated their was illegal activity on my SS# and when I asked for the representative badge number she indicated she was an advocate & babbled off a number, I asked her again what the badge number was as I didn't quite understand it & she immediately hung up on me.

I got a message from Social Security saying my benefits would be terminated if I didn't call back immediately 919-249-7390. They said my Social Security number had been used to buy major purchases.

Received phone call from (844) 378 0281. We have an answering recording and when we heard the name Social Security my wife picked the receiver she was asked her SS number. She did tell him her number and he said it was being used in El Paso, TX. and was asked if she had a credit card and if her balance was $80,000. She replied no and said her balance was $183.00. The person (male) then said to call him back in 30 minutes while he verified this information. He also asked if our address was 13101 NE13th Ave., Amarillo, TX and she said yes. We became suspicious and at that time because we heard that SS didn't make phone calls. I told them to mail this information to us since they already had our address and hung up. We realized that he caught my wife off guard and she gave out her SS #. Hopefully nothing will come of this but definitely wanted to report this incident. Thank You.

I called back and spoke to Ronald Smith. I asked him who I should talk to about my Social Security.
