Phone message that a claim had been filed using my name and SSN. Stated that a form had been mailed and that if I did not respond, I would be served with paper work at my home or my office. Requested a return call to the 888 number above. No claim number provided by caller.

Caller said they were calling because I made an inquiry about social security benefits then asked can you hear me?

Waiting for a return call then phome rang. Was cookng holiday dinner. Phome rang . Person said my name I believe and asked if I could hear him. I unfortunately said yes.

Caller ID shows a phone call from Hinton, WV....I do not answer. Call waits 5 minutes and then rapid fires two more calls to me. I begin to think this may be an emergency, so I answered it. Caller begins speaking very quickly about recording this call and wants to discuss what I owe on Social Security?? Caller then wants to clear things up and begins to tell me he needs information and I shout "NO" and hang up.

We received a call at 7:15 am from the social security administration wanting to verify information on my husband. The caller ID said: Unavailable. I told my husband not to answer it, but he did. When I checked on the number, I found it to be not a valid number. I tried to call them back and it said not a valid number. The web research revealed its a scam. Please inform senior citizens to not talk to these people! We haven't lost money or our ID yet, but who knows what's in store since my husband talked to them!!

They said they were calling as I was seeking information. About getting social security . I informed them yeah you have wrong number but before I got it all out they hung up

On Thursday 2-2-17 At About 1215 I Received A Phone Call. Caller Stated "Can You Hear Me OK?" I Said Either Yeah Or Yes. Caller Then Stated"This Is Joe From Social Security." Caller Then Hung Up.

My husband had recently signed up for social security and a day or 2 after we were getting calls like oh so you signed for social security, or are you the one applying for social security benefits, then the last call was when we answered the phone it said you may be recorded and then said can you hear me now and that was it. I can't remember what I responded at the time but when I seen that this was a scam on tv I remembered the call.

The caller said it was about my Social Security and asked if he could hear them and he said yes, then they hung up. We are now watching our accounts to make sure no fake charges come up.

I have received multiple messages on my answering machine over the past two weeks, sometimes two to three times per day. The messages state that they are "calling about a Social Security application for disability. Can you hear me okay?"

I have not answered any of the calls.

I received several calls on my cell phone yesterday. Caller stated lawsuits pending from Social Security. They called my cell phone again today. They are calling my cell phone from 509-295-4458. They want me to call them back at 509-383-4534. I tried to call the phone number back but it was busy. I just want to report the call.
