I answered the phone and a recording came on. They wanted me to return a call to that number because my social security was compromised. I do not receive social security.

Called my 84 yr old Mom saying her social security number had been jeopardized. Asking her to verify her SS number to them, She actually went to get her card. Mother has dementia and cannot remember where she puts things (this time thank goodness) it took so long they hung up. It just so happened I was home sick today and they called again, and she said let me call my daughter and she will call you back. Again they hung up. I got number , after numerous rings a man answer, not from Texas, I told him he called my mom and I am verifying this number through a data base, and I need to verify this is Social Security Office. I need your Employee ID your Supervisors Name and the Dept you work in. If you hang up I am reporting you to the Better Business and Abilene Police Dept. This call came from Boothbay Harbor, Main

I got a robo call today from Social Security saying my social security was being blocked for fraudulent activity. The message asks for the last four digits of my social security number. It also says to call them at 325-400-3287.

I got a call and they left a voice mail message saying to call before they begin legal proceedings against me. The call came from Blackville, SC and the number is : 803-219-1710. When I called it the gentleman said he was from tSocial Security and needed my date of birth and social security number. I told him I was reluctant to give out that information over the phone and he gave me his name as Bob Hamilton and his employee ID was 63832 and again asked for my date of birth and social security number. He sounded like he was from India and there was a lot of noise in the background. I hung up and called sheriffs office and they gave me your website to report this.

Three different calls from three different numbers leaving voicemails stating that they are from the Social Security office and my SS number has been comprised and used in a horrific crime. I also said that I was going to be arrested.

Received a call from 603-392-7105 advising that they were from Social Security investigating a crime scene with a car that was rented with my social security number that was abandoned in South Texas. They asked for my social security number to pull up the specifics of the crime. I told them I would verify the number if they provided it to me and they hung up.

There was a message on my answering machine supposedly from Social Security the message was that there was a number discrepancy resulting in cancellation of social security check. They asked me to call back as soon as possible 202-803-6726. I played the message over and over, but could not understand her name. She is foreign.

This last week has been bad. My phone has blown up with calls saying "This is the police, we're suspending your Social Security number, press 1". When I press 1, a man answers and asks "what this about?". I hang up.

I got a robocall yesterday and today advising me to call 1-800-412-6498 and 1-800-177-0262 immediately. It said my social security number would be permanently terminated.
