An automated voice was announcing in a prerecorded message that the recipients social security was locked because of fraudulent activity by said individual and money laundering. Press 1 to speak to an authorized social security agent.

Which I did, and had a heavily accented individual answered declaring himself as the department of social security.

I announced that I would be reporting this number as fraudulent and hung up.

The call came in on my work cell number which is owned by my employer.

I got a robocall when I said hello it said I had successfully enrolled in something I didn’t understand. I thought about it, then called the number back a recording said I reached the social security do not call list and my phone number had been successfully enrolled. I keep feeling that that wasn’t truthful and I’d been scammed somehow.

I got a call last night around 7:45 pm from a woman with an accent. She was trying to disguise her voice. She said someone is using my name and social security number in Texas. She wanted me to tell her my social security number. I didn't do it. She said the FBI would get back with me. I lost $2000 in a sweepstakes scam 2 years ago.

Got a recording on my phone, stating to call them at 985-387-2148, there is some suspicious activity going on my social security, Call them right-a-way or they will have a warrant for my arrest. THEY WILL TAKE ME TO JAIL. I'm just 30 years old , I have no idea what they were talking about. Here I am at work and they scared me. So, I call my Mom, told her I received this call, she told me to call the BBB. Then she said it was a scam, she seen the lady on Channel 6 News, she was talking about this same scam. So, I call the BBB, it's good thing I did. Because I probably would have gave the scammer's anything they wanted.

I handed the phone to my mom to see what she thought. By the time she gave me the phone back they had disconnected the call.

I answered a call on my cell phone. The man said he was with Social Security. Did not give his name. Stated someone was using my Social Security number and my name. He said if I do not call them back they would issue a warrant for my arrest. Call phone number 833-923-5362. He asked for my Social Security number. I listened to what he said. I hung up and called and called Better Business Bureau. I knew it was a scam. I did not give any personal information. If I called I know who I am talking to. I know not to call the phone number back.

Phone called answered. The girl id'ed herself as Kristy Lee of Social Security, badge #B157. Pressured to give information, indicated there were 16 accts in my name over $1Million. Said needed to give information or she would give my information to the police and they would be knocking at my door.

They will tell you your SS # has been used in scams. I know the SS doesn't call for any reason. I'm not sure if their was an attempt to extract cash. However they do ask for Name, address and last 4 digits of ss #. They caught on to me and called me out.
