I've gotten 4 calls from Social Security today. She said something about losing my Social Security if I didn't call them back. So I called back. I spoke to five different people. The last woman was Indian. I couldn't understand her. So, I asked her what she wanted. She said: "I want your money, all of it. i need your money." I told her I was going to report her. She said call the police.

This call just came to my business number. I am a banker so very interested in the scams that are being used these days. I work in a Retirement Center so very interested in identity theft and elder fraud. The call was recorded, of course, but it was an urgent message from Social Security stating that my social security number was "going to be suspended by law enforcement agency immediately and for me to call: 903-200-3652." I of course called them. They do answer the phone as Social Security and I then asked where they were calling from and they immediately hung up on me. These people should be shot....I am hoping you can do it. Thanks!

I continue to get these phone calls on both cell and home phone. Message says there is fraud on my social security account and I need to press one for more info. I then talked to a man with very broken English and was having difficulty understanding him. I said this is a scam and do not call me again. He argued with me and I hung up. But getting calls. I have quit keeping the phone numbers. I got some calls back in November and December but now in January several a day. I have not received any SS money yet but will start in February.

Now my husband is getting the phone calls on his cell also. His calls are from ( all 800 #) 568-2882; 369-6581; 344-5056; 487-2062; 686-5168; 891-9277; 245-7975. Plus numbers he as erased.

We want to confirm this is a scam and people are aware of this problem. Very irritating getting unwanted calls.

My dad received a suspicious/scam phone call today January 16 at 10:06am from 1-800-860-6885. The caller said that my dad's social security account had fraudulent activity. The called asked my dad for his social security number and bank account numbers. The only thing that my dad gave him before he hung up is his social security number.

I called that phone number to get the name of this suspicious company but all I heard was sweepstakes opportunities and then was stuck in a loop so I hung up. I'm reporting this scam call on my dad's behalf.

It was a computer generated, then it went to a person and she ask your name then i said how do i know this is social security, then i said social security contacts me by mail then she hung up on me . Don't give out any information to theses jerks . I did not give them a chance to ask for money it happen so fast . This really pisses me off that people try to take money from people and no one does anything about this because they don't know how or they just don't care or don't have the man power to help. It sickens me about this they can sit around and think of things to do to rip people off instead of helping there fellow man.

Three weeks ago I got a call from a lady in Boston, MA. She didn't say who she was working for. She said she was in Baltimore, MD, and they had just recovered 2 cars with blood in it and possibly a dead body, they hadn't checked yet. She said she would freeze my Social Security for four days. I said that's all I live on. She said not to worry about it, she would handle it. We hung up.
