Dont fall for any calls that says it is social security. Said they were from social security and that the social security number was under investigation and gonna be suspended.

He tried to use a scare tactic on my Husband and said that we had to make a payment in order for our social security number to be back reenacted and not be suspended any longer.

she told me that my social security number was suspended and that I needed to make a payment in order to get my Social Security number back to being active

This number called me saying they were social security and when I told them they called and are ss I asked what my name was and they hung up.

When I cslled him out on it....he changed tactics and informed me that he loved me. Not gunna lie, i almost wet my pants laughing. Robo call stating Social Security had a lawsuit for fraud against me. press 1 to talk to an agent. When I got the agent, I asked for his name. He spoke broken English, I asked him to spell it.... Jordan Green... I asked for a direct phone number 866-526-9847. then I asked for his supervisor's name at which point he wanted my name. I said you called me, you tell me. He said who do you work for? I answered the State of Pennsylvania . He wanted my badge number and when I said that Social Security will not call anyone he hung up.

First call..no number....informed my soc sec number was being used in Texas and they wanted to confirm it to be sure

Second call was from number above...they said there was an arrest warrant issued for me about use of my soc sec number.

- Petersburg, VA, USA

The scammers called me to confirm my identity because apparently my SSN was involved in drug trafficking and money laundering. They asked me to verify my SSN and after I refused to give them the requested information over the phone they were telling me that my accounts will all be frozen by the government and that I will be taken into custody within few hours. The caller was very convincing as they gave me a name, title and some type of badge number.

I received a phone call from the number 1-800-059-7068 and a recorded message, that sounded official, stated that due to suspicious activities that included the use of my social security number all benefits would be suspended unless I spoke to a representative by dialling 1. The message also stated that if no response was received to dispute the issue my social security number would be permanently blocked from use. I dialed 1 just to see if I could get more information about the scam, as I know that I don't receive benefits and this had to be a scam. While on hold I noticed the next message said I was in the "quew". Then a man answered who had the voice of a twenty year old with a foreign mixed accent similar to British English/European but not quite Arabic. I confronted him about being a scammer and asked where he was calling from and he responded with gender specific sexual insults and proceeded to vugarly request sexual favors and asked how much I charged for such. I ended the call and looked for the ScamPulse.com website in hopes this can be stopped and volnurable people won't become victims.

Left a message. They claim my social security number was suspended for suspicious activity and press 1 to hear more about the case. It's a recording.

- Caldwell, ID, USA

Left two phone messages and two different phone numbers to call. The one listed above and also 800-891-8064. The message said that my social security number was going to be suspended and that my benefits would be discontinued and I needed to call Social Security dept. immediately at the numbers listed above. Obviously I did not call back, but wanted to report these calls.
