They said I won 5 million dollars, and a car and a bunch of other stuff. However, they requested $499.99 money order or check. Sounds like a scam to me.

A man called me today stating I had won the big money prize from Publisher's Clearing House but I needed to go to Walmart and give them $2500.00 to "register" to receive the prize money today. When I told him that I thought he was trying to scam me, he insisted he was legitimate. This went on for several minutes because I wanted to see how far he would take it. When he realized that I was not going to give him any money he told me to some explicit words and hung up.

The individual call me on September 14, 2018, at about 3:15 PM CDT. He said that he was a Publisher's Clearing House employee named Paul Cooper and that I was a winner of $3.5 million and a BMW X7 Jeep. He gave me a PCH Badge no. of 3178295 and said that my winning package no. is 220204VUS. He further said that a team lead by a Bobby Jenkins would deliver the check to me and that I need a proof of my identification. I was to submit a registration form to PCH in the form of a US$362. Walmart to Walmart transfer. The payee for the transfer was Cloyd Sanford in Tullahoma, TN. The telephone no. that I referenced above is the one I copied from the caller ID on my telephone. The other information is from notes I took during the conversation.

Received a phone call from some one named David Moore (did not speak English very well). He stated that I had won $850,000.00 and a Mercedes. All I needed to do was get a cashiers check for $1800.00 and they would send me my winnings. I told them I would have the money for them and give it to them once they brought the gifts. They kept saying they needed the money first. I asked to talk to a supervisor and they put someone by the name of Bobby Brown on the phone. He kept saying the same thing. I finally hung up the phone. Then they called back 3 other times. My daughter answered the phone and told them not to call again and we were going to report them. Then my daughter called the phone number and it said thT it could be accessed at that time. Then my daughter blocked the number from my phone.

I live in Cantonment,FL. On or about 4:15pm on 9/11/18, a male who sounded to have been of Indian descent called claiming the be from "Publisher's Clearing House". He told me I had won 5.5 million dollars and a 2018 black Mercedes-Benz. Realizing it was a scam, I played along to see were it would go. He asked if I had a bank account. Then he said I needed to file the taxes with the IRS. He also was trying to play on my spiritual side and told me that "this was from God". He ask me to write down his name and woman's name, but I didn't. His last name was "Salom" that's all I remember and I'm sure that's not his name anyway. He then proceeded to tell me to go to Walgreens or Walmart, purchase a money order for $650.00 and send it. I could hear that he had placed the phone on speaker. At that time I let him know that I know what was is trying to do and at that time, he hung up the phone.

I received a call from Publisher's Clearinghouse. They said I entered a contest in 2013 and lost but now I won $950,000. They said I would just have to pay $1,495 to cover IRS fees and to have a Brinx armored truck come from Lubbock to deliver the money. I was told that their bookkeeping location was in FL so my money would be sent to them once I went to a nearby Walmart and sent it over. I didn't catch a name but the people I spoke with sounded Indian. I reported this at the Randall County Sheriff's Dept and with the BBB.

I have entered Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes for decades. I received letter and check for $7800.00 from "Publishers Clearing House." Letter said that was only part of the winnings & not to deposit the check until calling the claims manager. The letter also stated not to discuss the winnings "as required by Federal and State laws... must be kept strictly confidential which means you are precluded from discussing your win with third parties... to reduce the risks of unauthorized access to your claim information." So I called the number. "Larry Rogers," had a non-american accent, told me to deposit the check and call back immediately as soon as I did. That sounded odd so I asked more questions. The more I asked for clarification and justification, "Larry" got more and more aggravated, at which point I realized this was no good. I am 86 years old, but not foolish. I called my son and he got me the information on how to report this scam.

John Cooper called me wanting to talk to my son. I told him my son was deceased.  So, he told me my son left me the beneficiary and I won $1.5 million dollars.  Please call and talk to Vicker Forhendef (Feranadez) and he will give me instructions, call this number in Kingston, Jamaca, i will after to send $500.00 to them and I get my money.  I told him to give it to someone else.

Phone call to 90 year old woman. Identified himself as Dave Sawyer from Publishers Clearing House. Said I had won $2,500,000 and all I had to do was send $1400 to claim the prize, which would be delivered later that day by check/fed express. She was extremely excited to learn she had won the big prize since she had been entering the contest for five years. She almost paid, but was advised it was a scam after she consulted with a family member.

Mr. Everton Johnson from Kingston Jamaica,WI He contacted me saying I had won the Publishers Clearing House but I needed to pay $500.00 I told him I didn't have 500. So I told him all I had was a hundred and he told me to just 80.00 because it was going to cost close to 20 to send it.

A man called Luciano Espitia continued to call my 83 year old father, stating that he had won money from Publishers Clearing House. But, my Dad had to send him express mail $400. He stated that my dad won $45,000 and that a lady named Lisa Miller would come by the house. He would have to have a receipt that shows he had sent the money, then she would give him the check for $17,030.30 from Wells Fargo and that my Dad would receive the rest in payments of $300 a month for the rest of his life. The check was to be mailed to: 2116 S. Concho St., Coleman, Texas 76834.

When I got home, the man called again, I told him to stop calling, but he continued 2 more times. He wanted my dad (who has lung cancer) to walk to the post office and send the check. I told him continually to stop calling. Finally, he got the message, but I brought my Dad's phone to work with me, just in case, he called again.

My Dad had an envelope made out to this jerk and was ready to send him this money, until I explained it was a scam.

I was told I won the Publishers Clearing House Lottery. He was an hour away with a check and asked if I wanted them to bring it to me. They then mentioned a sweepstakes and when I asked if they knew how a sweepstakes work they told me to [censored] off and called me names then hung up. Then within a few minutes, they called again and asked me the same line they did initially, I called them out and said I would report their number and they hung up.

The letter said to contact the claims manager without any delay BEFORE depositing the check at your financial institution for further information on this prize.

I called the number and was told to deposit the check and call back. I have not called back nor deposited the check.
