I got a call from Publisher's Clearinghouse. I couldn't understand what he was saying, so I called them back. I spoke to James Nelson who promised a check for $950,000. He transferred me to his supervisor John Snow. He asked for my names and asked if I would be home this afternoon to receive my Ford Pick up truck. He gave me verification numbers to give to the driver. He said I needed to keep it secret. He asked if I wished to receive the prize, but the call got cut off.

A man named "James Anderson" called on our home line, he had our name and address and obviously our phone number. He said we won a check for 1.5 million or a Mercedes E class car. He said we should do a Walmart to Walmart transfer to claim the prize. He was targeting my mother who is a senior citizen. She talked to him for a bit and then I grabbed the phone and gave him hell. Then he hung up.

Dale Page said I had won a large sum of money. Want to know if I had a bank account.

The person who called knew my name and then asked if I was expecting this call. Then he mentioned Publisher Clearing House contest and that I had won a prize.I couldn't remember entering any contest like that, so I told him to deliver the prize to my front door and hung up the phone.

This scammer called and said I won 2nd prize in publishers clearing house from signing up a long time ago. He said I won a mercedez and 1,000,000.00 and that the prize patrol ( with Oprah Winfrey) were waiting to come to my house. I just had to make out a receipt to me and an IRA agent to pay for taxes.

call saying you won 1.5 million sweepstake, but you must go to walmart and do a walmart to walmart transfer of $1500.00 and get a reciept. then they would come to your house with check and irs personel to take you to the bank to verify your winning check is good. My husband got the call today from this person who claimed that we had won $5 million dollars and a Mercedes Benz. Of coarse my husband told him he was a scam artist wich he denied. He gave us his cell phone number and his is ID number DS 55600. His name was David Sayers. I also spoke with him and told him I thought that he was a crook

Received phone call from Publishers Clearing House, a man named Ray Charles, who gave me several phone numbers and other identifying information. He sounded very legitimate and professional. He had all winning information and numbers of your winning prize which was a new Mercedes and 2.5 million dollars. He was very convincing. I followed through with everything until the end when he started giving me information to take to Walmart with a request for a fee of 399.00 That’s when I realized it was a scam and hung up on him. I am never fooled by the scammers but this one really sounded legitimate

I received a letter in the postal mail that appeared to be from Publishers Clearing House. It is suspicious looking. The letter stated I won $600,000. Two days ago I had entered a contest from Publishers Clearing House 101 Winners Circle Jericho NY. I filled out a form and returned it. Then I received a mailing with a check enclosed for $7972.55. I am required according to International Sweepstakes by Law to pay towards taxes handling and processing fees. It states to contact your agent for further details. Agent is John Adam 917-382-6208. The letter indicates to keep the award letter strictly confidential until my cash prize winning have been processed. It does not indicate how much I have to pay upfront. My girlfriend told me this was a scam. The check came from McCrorie Carpet One. 547 N OakRidge Dr. Port Angeles WA 98362. It makes no sense a carpet company was on the check. I did not call the phone number. I am reporting the mailing.

A man called claiming to be from Publishers Clearinghouse said I won $650,000. He said he'd been trying to reach me since September. He said the IRS would get with me for the taxes. He told me to call 516-568-5190 and ask for Oscar. I called and asked for Oscar, he said he's pretty tied up now, and he could help me. He wants me to fax a picture ID and utility bill to him. He had a foreign accent. I heard a change of voice in the middle of the call. He said to call the legal department at 516-321-1410 and they would tell me what to do.

I received a plain envelope in the mail that did not have a return address and had a forever USA stamp. Inside was a letter with the Publishers Clearing House letterhead saying, "The team at Publishers Clearing House is pleased to officially announce you, as a second Place winner in the 100 Million Dollars Super Cash Giveaway Promotion sponsored by Readers Digest, Mega Millions and Multi-State Lottery Association.
