I was supposedly notified by publishers clearing house that i was a prize winner and that it would be delivered to me. The prize was 5.5 million dollars and a Mercedes Benz. The prize would be delivered after I made a payment of $375. I called the business bureau to confirm and found out it was a scam.

Called me on my personal cell phone telling me that I won the Publishers House Sweepstakes, 2.5 million, and a brand new Mercedes. Said that they were based in Clarinda Iowa and would bring the money and Mercedes after I money grammed them $485. They wanted me to gram the money to Dayton, Ohio to a Kenric Chambers. Persons on the phone sounded like they had Jamaican accents.

A James Wilson representing Publishers Clearing House Company indicated he would visit with a 4.1 million $ check. But a $2500 check needs to be made out to a Merchant's Bank where it would be held as a one% tax for the IRS. They are in Madison and will visit in about 1-1/2 hour.

I recd a phone call at 12:25 this afternoon and I spoke w/Christy who stated I won 3.5 million dollars but I had to send $800 to Kimberly Daniel at 7821 NE 21st st, Gainesville, FL 32641. Christy told me it wasn't going to be public; it was going to be private. If I did it tomorrow, I would have to FedEx it. I told her I would have to make a few calls and hung up.

Received a letter from Publishers Clearing House saying I was a second place winner and had won $75,000. They enclosed a check for $4,823.11, and said must be deposited into my account only after speaking to the claims agent. I am suppose to call a Mr. Michael Austin at 877-315-6071. He would then process my prize. After looking at several similar situations on the ScamPulse.com website, I never made the call. The stamp on the envelope was Canada with no return address. The check Total Fina Elf ESPP Shareholder services, Troy, Michigan

Scammers name is James Anderson and he claims to be with Publishers Clearing House. He claims that the person he is calling for has won a prize car and an unspecified amount of millions in prize money. That seems to change with every call. In order for someone to claim prize money, they have to “pay” for the prize money.

I got a call yesterday and 14 more today from a man, David Silvera, w/a foreign accent saying I've won the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes sponsored by the ScamPulse.com and H & R Block. He said I won 3.7 million and a Chevy Malibu. He said I would need to pay $294 for a government stamp on the check. He asked if I wanted it advertised or kept quiet. He said I wouldn't tell anybody about this till you get your money. He told me to go to Walmart. He said I will be on the phone with you every step of the way, we will do this together. I said I can't believe it. He said well you're getting a lot of negative thoughts from other people. He said the people giving you negative advice are just jealous. He gave me the check number, and said I would get $7000 today. He said David Sayre, Andrew Goldberg and Barbara Gordon from PCH would be at my house with balloons and roses.

On my phone texting my friend and I got this message saying I won $200,000.00.  His name was Alex, please call him at 727-247-9858.  Called him immediately wondering how could I have won any money, I didn't purchase anything from Publisher's Clearinghouse.  Alex told me it was my lucky day, all I had to do was send him $400.00 either by purchasing a gift card or itune card.  Within 12 hours I would get my $200,000.00 by Brink Truck, Mercedes Car, he would deliver them personally.  Once he receive my $400.00.  That sound kind of fishy to me, so I call the BBB.

And how Uncle Sam and the FBI see you were coming to my house with balloons and a whole bunch of gifts for me and my family and they were going to insure it for one point they are insurance for 99% and I had to do the 1% which came to $2,500 make sure I have the $2,500 before they would bring me the four point million dollars. They wanted to know if I was at work or at home.. And when the time would not work out he said he had to talk to Uncle Sam about meeting me tomorrow there in Madison Wisconsin and this money was going to change my life and he was so happy to congratulate me.

- Amarillo, TX, USA

I got a call from someone with an Indian accent who said I had won a cherry red Mercedes and $5.5 million. I told him I played the PCH games years ago so there was no way this was legit. He said information stays in the system for 10 years which is how I won. He didn't say I had to send any money and then said it was all taken care of with the IRS too. Scam!
