My phone has been blowing up with calls telling me

THIRD over a month later I recive a notice I won the $500,000.00 Super cash giveaway and it included a check COMPLETE with watermark for $7800.00 the partial winning amount the rest to be sent by FedEx. I researched the Chris FLAMING name no PCH affiliation, then the sweeps it says I won and found they are ALLL SCAMS. I was told then to call the number and I did was told the check was good go ahead and deposit it, I told them you sent this to me at my address BUT the address on the check under my name was NOT my address. He said I will take it up with my supervisor and she will call you tomorrow. I have a pic of the check along with the letter but you only allow 1 PDF file.

Called several times to say I had won 2.5 million dollars plus a 2018 Class C Mercedes Benz automobile. Wanted me to open an email that they sent, after trying to convince me it was a legitimate call and email. My daughter was able to determine that it was a scam.

My 82 year old mother received a call from Jerry Cooper who said he was Publisher's Clearinghouse, he said she had won 1.6 million.

He call saying I won 15 million a new car and a truck load of furniture. But I need to open a bank account so they can send sponsor check to help pay the taxes off the money I won. They wanted to send me check and I cash it then send to the tax people. I got text messages and receive phone calls from four different numbers. I knew it had to be a scam because if you win anything from publisher clearing house u don’t have to do any of the things he wanted me to do

- Winston Salem, NC, USA

Received letter stating I had won from publishers clearing house, the letter included a check for 4780.16 to pay for duty taxes, instructing me to deposit into my account only after speaking with my claims agent.

I received a call from a person claiming to be a Gregory Knoxx from Publishers clearing house. I was told I had won a check for $2 million but I would have to go to a bank and pay $350.99 to Merchant Bank to receive my winnings which would be delivered to me through UPS.

I received a call on my landline yesterday. The caller was with Publishers Clearing House. The phone number in my caller ID was 614-741-5983. Caller stated this is Publishers Clearing House. This is your lucky day. His name was Mr. Eugene Penton. I won $8055 and a new 2018 BMW. He told me they could award the prizes publicly or privately. If I did it privately I would need to go to the nearest Wal Mart & register for the prize. I asked why I had to go to Wal Mart. He stated that was their policy. He would stay on the line while I got dressed. He asked how long it would take me to get dressed. Call him when I arrived at Wal Mart. I was not certain it was a scam. I had just received a mailing from PCH. I told him I am nervous about him coming to my house. Told me he was a Christian man. He hung up on me. I called him back. I called Wal Mart and asked if people were registering for a PCH prize at their store. I spoke with someone else at Wal Mart. They did not do that at Wal Mat. He wanted me to pay $600. I never left my house. I did not send any money. It did not make sense to me. I said I don't have $600. He asked how much I had. I said oh really. He hung up. I wanted to report the scam.

I received a phone call today from a man claiming that I had won prizes from the PHC. He provided me with numbers associated with 3 prizes, a combination for 'the safe' and a package code. He then said that they would come to my home immediately to deliver the prizes but I would have to provide them with a western union or other type of prepaid check in the amount of $768.68. He asked if I wanted the event public with TV cameras and such or private. I told him that I was certain there would be no monies due in the event of a PCH win and that ended our conversation. He sounded quite scripted, as I am sure he was, but I could see someone falling for this scheme.

Ronald Webster #08395217 called and stated that I won $650,000. I needed to go to Walmart and send $99. Said a very large check that I can hang on my wall will be delivered at 10:30 Friday morning. Packaging code #EL5517294117US.

Said it was not a scam and 100% legit.

- Cisco, TX, USA

Scammers called my cell phone claiming to be Publishers Clearing House. They said I had won $3,500,000 and they were in the area and needed me to come to the Eastland Wal-Mart for them to follow me to my bank and deposit the money so that I could use it immediately. They also said I had won a Mercedes.

My elderly father in-law received a letter saying he was the second place winner of the 100 Million Dollars Super Cash Giveaway Promotion sponsored by Readers Digest, Mega Millions and Multi-State Lottery Association. The total he won was $500,000.00 CONGRATULATIONS! They enclosed with the letter a check for $5,942.00 to cover insurance and attorney fees. He just had to contact my Claim Manger without delay BEFORE depositing the check at his bank for further information on this prize.

It then listed two different phone number and a security code. When I called, a man finally answered after several calls to the phone numbers and once I told him that I was so excited for my father in-law, and wanted to know what he had to do next, he said he would have to transfer me to the "winners" line. I was then transferred to a disconnected phone number. These people are lower then pond [censored]! I took the check, letter and envelope to the post office so they could pursue federal charges. I'm not delusional to think they will do that but that is what the FTC told me to do.

- Wapato, WA, USA

says i won a prize and they said they got stopped by a state marshall and need to pay $2500. I sent them $1300 over night express.

- Saratoga Springs, UT, USA

Scammer called me on CELL PHONE. Said he was Mark Wilson. Said I was 3rd prize winner in Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes and had won $155,000 plus a motor home. Delivery of a Registered Check and the motorhome would be made the next morning. Said our bank would need to see registration, required by law. (Not a PCH requirement, but legal requirement.) To get that registration I would need to go to Walmart and make a Walmart to Walmart transfer of $998.75 on a debit card to Melvin Tinklenberg in Texas. He said I was to save the receipt to get the money back after the deposit was made.

He had me carefully write his name and phone number, a Package Code, a Receiver Code, the Winning Number, a Confirmation Code, and a PIN Code. I was to call him and give him the Reference Number highlighted on the Walmart receipt after making the transfer. I made the transfer, called him, then cancelled it (getting my money back.) He gave specific instructions for the next morning: 1. Be fully, appropriately dressed, 2. Have three forms of identification, 3. Have the codes he just gave me,

He called the next morning to confirm that all was in order. He had told me who was going to be present, including himself. (His phone call was coming from Jamaica. He said that was in New York.) When I told him Pub Clearing House says they do not require any money to receive the prize, he carefully explained again that the money is still my money and I will be able to get it back after the deposit is made. When I told him I didn't believe him, he went through the explanation again. I discovered that the explanation was a recording with pauses for my responses (any response), then the recording continues. He was not then actually on the line.

Two or three days later, I received another call from the same man ON MY HOUSE PHONE. He introduced himself the same way with the same name. When I told him I had talked to him only a few days ago, he verified his name, Mark Wilson, then hung up.

I received a call froom a Mr. Bob Turner who said I wont $850,000 with Publishers Clearinghouse. He said 99% of taxes were covered but I would just need to send $399 at a Walmart. He said they were just 30 min away and that I needed to hurry and get it done ASAP. I took down all the following information:

ID #2971

CK #006951840

Winning # 6631795228TX

Got a phone call 3 times from this number in Portland, Jamaica. The man said his name was Walker and that I'd won some money. All I would have to do is send $250. scam.

A man called my boyfriend and said he was with Publishers Clearinghouse and said that I won $5000. He said he would get it through moneygram and they would come to my house and present him with it too. He didn't ask me to send anything except what bank I had. My boyfriend is not all there mentally so i handled the call which the guy didn't like. He kept wanting to talk to my boyfriend since he's been picking up the phone before. Knew it was a scam and told him that but he was very persistent about it not being one. I called the BBB to report it
