Valerie Davidson text me saying that Manuel Franco the powerball winner of 2019 (lol) is giving 50,000 to 200 lucky winners. There was a YouTube link to Manuel's interview when he won. They then said to contact Bernarda Olivaraz by Text at 1-515-412-9585 and they would give me the info from there. lmao. People are so annoyingly desperate nowadays to rip people off. The saddest part is they usually get many in the process.

1st of all, I knew it had to be a scam, but I did check out the YouTube video of R. Franco receiving his winning! Congratulations to that young man BTW. What is hilarious to me is the spelling, Grammer, and the person to contact's phone number was out of the country?

Just received the same text this morning, lol of corse, I knew this had to be a scam, but what cracks me up the most, is the spelling, Grammer, and the "person to contact", phone number is international when Mr. Franco is an American. BTW, very smart young man to get an attorney along with financial advisors!

Woke up to a text. Yikes - second text sent this number —, 5097683621. There where no other words with this text. It send to multiple people too.

Not sure who it was from but these numbers where included - sent from or too. Could not figure out how to confirm sender number.

I did not fall for the scam, but wanted to report it in case others get a similar text message. Someone from the number above messaged me claiming to be Mr. Manuel Franco, the lottery winner, and said that they randomly selected 200 people to get $20,000 each and that I need to contact agent Brad Harrison at 531-221-5336 to claim my money. I googled this and others have said that if you reply they want you to purchase ebay gift cards in order to "claim your prize."

I received a text message claiming I was getting free money. I did not respond to the text nor call the number. Here is a copy of the text:

It says my number was chosen by spin ball to receive $50,000USD From Manuel Franco as he is giving 200 people a donation of said amount and I am one of the lucky people. I am to text agent JOHN MICHEAL to get my $50,000 USD. THIS IS SO SCARY TO KNOW MY PHONE NUMBER IS OUT THERE BY THESE PEOPLE. I googled the area codes 1st, then FRANCO. Right away it showed "THE SCAM". However it said its true Franco did win, but isn't giving away his money. I didn't know this site existed. I HAVE MANY EMAILS FROM NIGERIAN/AFRICAN MEN DOING SIMILAR SCAMS. THANK YOU FOR THIS SERVICE. I hope this isn't a scam.

I also received a group text with this claim of me winning money. I immediately jumped into research mode so glad I found this page. I hope other victims of this scam research before believing what they read. So many scammers out there right now you have to be on your guard everywhere.

I have this person that said he was working for mr. Manuel Franco and that was in charge of his winning he ask me for 500.00 dollars and he would send me 50,000 his name is patrick Williams his phone number is 575-567-2638 call him and tell him that you are someone that are checking if your names was on the list. Yesterday I received a group message stating I was one of 200 people selected to receive money from lottery winner Manuel Franco in the amount of $50,000. The agent who was so called a representative handling the distribution of the money was named " Collin Christopher". The message instructed to text Mr. Christopher. After doing so, he asked that I provide my name, address, phone # and email in order to have the payment Fedex the next morning. The only thing I needed to do was purchase a $100 Greendot card, Ebay card or Stream Game card to cover the shipping cost for the delivery. I knew this didn't seem legit. So continued to ask why one if these cards were necessary in order to receive a donation? The individual became very irritated and rude, so I blocked the number and googled if this was in fact a known scam. And to my suprise it was infact.
