I got almost the same message as the other people. The only difference is that I was told $50,000 and I needed to get in touch with a Jeffrey Steven and send text to- telephone number 1-745-0435. The text came from a different number. The number it came from was 412-874-4919 For one time I wish something was actually legitimate. I have seen enough of the scam. Just one time for someone to actually want to do something like this.

They contacted me on my phone via text saying that I won 20,000. And that they need to verify my identity so they can send me a check for 20,000 from Mr Franco. I think is really sick that this criminals are getting away with this. They ask for personal information they are using ID.me to verify your identity and run your information. They want you to send a code back and everything goes from there

Got this text from a number I did not recognize. Scam was screaming when they randomly got my number but require proof of identity by a photo license - I hope most people recognized the clues of scam in this message. If you cannot recognize it - it takes less than 3 minutes of internet search to confirm it is indeed a scam. Hope these con artists get caught

Received the text about being one of the 200 chosen for $50000 from Manuel Franco. Thanks to the information on this site, I sent a text back with a warning that the scammer replied to with "Lol". He then called my phone and I could barely understand his English due to a heavy foreign accent. We exchanged threats (I think?) and I could hear multiple voices in the background. My warning included the fact that the U.S. authorities are the best in the world at catching criminals and if they decide they want you, they will get you. And if he ever decides to visit Utah, look me up.

Text message posing as Manuel Franco stating he had won 768 million lottery and had randomly selected 200 hundred phone numbers to receive $50,000.00. Another text wanting copy of ID front and back such as drivers license and social security card to verify person. My son ***** returned photo copies of his dL and ssn card. **** is currently a drug addict and thought this to be a legit request to receive the money. Easily scammed.
