Received 2 phone calls on the same day Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from ph. # 210-764-3775 & 213-141-1563 stating, " final and official notice and official from the IRS regarding a law suit file against you. call 914-600-0202 immedatliely." - Washington, DC, USA

Phone number 202-499-1448 keeps calling me, saying they have a case filed against me, they gave me a case number and said they are with the IRS, etc. I obviously know this is a scam and have called them to call them out on it, but they keep calling. I am afraid someone will fall for this scam and give them the info they are expecting because they are saying this an important legal matter, they even say your attorney should be notified and call their office.

I have received (3) phone calls to my cell phone from (346) 303-9917 this AM, between 7 AM and 9:45 AM, with a recording saying it’s the IRS, they need me to call them right away regarding a lawsuit they’ve started against me, and this is my FINAL warning. IT’S TOTALLY A SCAM!!! I've notified all my family, friends, and co-workers to ignore these calls and asked them to tell their friends and family to do the same, should they be called. Now, the only problem is to get them to stop calling!!

I received a call from (646) 408-4577/ (845) 999-0204. When they called a rep told me that she is calling from Federal treasure Department "the government". She informed

me that I was selected to get a grant of $6,700 that I don't need to pay

back, and that what qualified me was that I pay my taxes on time and

have no criminal record. The call came from a NY #: 646-408-4577. I

asked from what department she was, and she said "government". I asked

what department of the Govt and she said the Grant Dept. I asked for

address and phone # and she gave me 200 independence Ave SW 20201 and

phone # 845-999-0204.... Her name was Ross Milton.

- Dayton, OH, USA

a man called and stated he worked for the IRS and that I owe money since 2010-2014, then stated where I live, and work and stated he will contact my work and tell them what type of person I am, and that I have arrest warrant and to clear my name I would have to pay $1500.00. Once they received the payment they would release the warrant and I would be ok. Also stated they had sent me two letters about this issue to my location and I never replied to them. The man left me messages on my phone about this, so when I heard it I called him and listened to everything he had to say, then I came home and told my boyfriend about it and we called the man back, he wouldn't talk to my boyfriend and hung up, then the man stopped answering incoming calls to his number from our other phones, but as soon as I used my own cell phone to call him back he answered right away. The man keeps calling and I don't want to go to jail, but I don't want to pay him. Would the IRS work in this way? And I also get my taxes done, I don't do them myself.
