I received a call on my cell phone on Monday, 2/22/16 at 2:41pm EST from 360-810-6212. The message was:

"Hello, this call is officially a final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is that IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 360-810-6212. I repeat, 360-810-6212. Thank you."

I hope this helps prevent others from getting this same scam. I have kept the message on my voice mail if you should need further information.

Received a call from the "IRS" stating I need to pay over $5000.00. They stared that there is an arrest warrant out for me. She gave me her name and her ID number. She was of foreign decent as well.

Received voicemail from Internal Revenue Service [via text to speech program] Informing me that IRS is filling a lawsuit against me. **Transcription of call from voicemail** -- "...Internal revenue service the reason of this call is to inform you the irs is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file please call immediately on our department number 206 319-8780 i repeat 206 319 8780 thank you." -- Google says Bainbridge Island, WA was where the call originated from at 12:34pm on Feb. 19th 2016

I figured I'd report this since I read about SCAMS in East Brunswick on patch.com and that reminded me about this voicemail.. Well hope it adds on another count when they catch these [censored]. I attached a copy of the voicemail file in mp3

Received a phone call from 206-317-9382, person claimed to be an IRS agent saying I owed $4500 from 2010-2014 and threatened arrest. Demanded $500 to make arrest warrant go away.

The automated caller stated this is the final notification that the IRS is going to file a lawsuit against me and I need to call this number to get more information. The recording stated one number and then repeated a different number at the end. Here are the 2 numbers it told me to call back 50-368-7081 & 509-288-4981. When I mentioned this to a few people, they told me they got this message this morning as well.

2 voicemail from IRS asking that I settle owed monies and threatening a law suit. I file taxes annually & owe no monies to the IRS therefore I do not respond to the calls.

Phone call with message they are IRS going to file lawsuits against me contact them immediately. Call from 206-905-9277 shows as Seattle WA. When called back from different phone the man spoke broken English and asked what number did they call about the lawsuit and when didn't give to them he said we will send out the sheriff.

I received a robo phone voice mail message, indicating it was a "final notice" from the IRS. It actually left the same number to call back as showed up on caller ID. I have no tax issues, and I know the IRS doesn't contact people this way

Someone called my cell phone claiming I was being sued by the IRS that I need to call back right of way. Here are the dates and times:

2/19/16 @9:05 am eastern standard time

2/19/16 @10:26 am eastern standard time

The voice mail said the IRS was filing a law suit against me.

347-696-0086.....This number keeps calling me saying that they are the IRS and that they are planning to sue me (automated message)....then I call back and it's some foreign person and it's definitely a scam

A 'Lisa Jones' left a voice mail saying she works with the legal afraid office for the us treasury and was giving me a verbal notification of the enforcement ick under my name. She said to call back 1+ (347)875-3034

For obvious reasons including her HEAVY accent I did not call her back. I send the voicemail to my husband and he suggested it was a scam.

Received two automated messages claiming Officer Lauren Matthews from the IRS was calling to inform me of criminal proceedings regarding money I owed to the IRS. I returned the call to 347-527-9084 and an Indian gentleman answered the phone in a noisy room with lots of others talking in the background. He told me he was Chris Anderson, Senior Officer for the Criminal Investigation Office of the IRS. I asked where he was located which he claimed was NYC. I asked for a case number which he provided me. I asked what the call was about and he replied it was due to a miscalculation I had made on my taxes in 2009, 2010, and 2011. I proceeded to ask more questions and I confess it was in a hostile and accusatory tone for wasting my time with this scam. He told me to "*** off" and wished me luck when I got arrested.
