A gentleman called my phone today (03-10-16) and informed me that he was the IRS and that I was wanted in a lawsuit for tax evasion for the year 2008 - 2009 but as I explained to him I have not worked since 2001. He immediately said he would take my name off the list. I pressured him for more information and he actually admitted being a scam artist. He then proceeded to ask me what I eat for breakfast and at that time told him thank you for your honesty but this call is now over and I hung up and now emailing you to let you know the phone # 1-716-226-2556...no name. He refused to give me his name and I asked him several times for it .

got recorded message from 727-451-9969 on my cell phone. Recorded messaged stated IRS filed law suit and warrant for my arrest. If I did not call, I would be arrested. I called the same number 727-451-9969. Man with very heavy Indian accent and lots of noise in background. Told me same thing on message and then transferred me to IRS case manger Jason Snyder and my case number 10654520. Said my calculations were incorrect for 2010-2011. I have a CPA. IRS filed lawsuit and if I did not settle on phone for $3,946.21 I would be arrested and sentenced to 190 months in jail. Also said if I hung up, they would come get me. I pressed for actual address in Clearwater and said it sounded like a scam. He hung up quickly. Is this really IRS? Sounded like a scam?

Consumer received a call from John Smith his badge number he gave her was JS12C4 BC1619481 stated he was calling from the IRS, consumer believes to think the accent was Arabic. He stated to the the consumer that she owed $4,500 and that if she didn't pay she would be going to jail and after he stated that consumer stated that she could not pay that amount. John hung up when consumer when she stated that she could not financially pay, she called the number on her caller id 7178164385 and asked why he hung up, she stated that she would like a payment plan and also documents stating what was owed and the payment plan. John hung up on her again. She called back and was still not able to receive a response.

I was contacted by phone and was told I filed my taxes fraudulently in 2009 - 2015. They have been to my home several times and have taken pictures of the notice left on my door. You can pay a settlement amount now or we can arrest you. After I told him I wasn't going to give him anything over the phone he said ok we will be out to arrest you in 45 minutes. I waited the 45 minutes and nothing happened so I called the BBB. I never gave him the opportunity to get to the amount I owed or the amount of the settlement. I got the phone number from my caller ID and was able to reach them on that number when I called back. The number is 929-237-7469.

I have been receiving phone calls from (347) 560-5213 daily for the past week and they leave messages on my machine stating they are the Internal Revenue Service and that I owe past due taxes and must call them. They stated that they would take action against me if not paid immediately. I have not filed taxes in years because I am retired and do not work so I have not returned the phone call.

I received a call today from an automated system saying that they were with the IRS and I am being sued by them. They requested that I call them back at 717-816-4385 to make arrangements for payment before they proceed with the lawsuit. I know this is a scam and I have not called the number back. I'm hoping someone can use the number to track them down and put a stop to it. I'm worried how many people are actually falling for this.

"Chris Fernandez" has left a voice mail for the last 6 days now. It''s a recording saying that they have received legal documents on my name and social security number. So I called and got a recording at first then a "Senior IRS agent Mike Mendez" and he started to say that the IRS is coming after me if I don't pay the taxes immediately . He had a very heavy accent. And never said my name in the whole conversation and voice.

I've gotten 3 phone calls today from a phone number in Wisconsin. It's only a recorded stating it is the IRS claiming to have filed a lawsuit against me. The directions are to call back the number to discuss the legal matter. When I called the phone number it rings several times then a man with a very strong Indian accent answer. I couldn't hear very much of what he was saying. It sounded like he was on a satellite phone, it was very muffled like if it was under water.

I get a missed call and a voicemail. it sounds like the first part of the voice mail is cut off so you only hear case file and then to call 3473342703 for more information. So I call i tell them i missed a call and they ask for my name and phone number. I give both. they then tell me they are the IRS and that i owe over 9k in unclaimed taxes. i ask for their name they tell me officer John Bearly I ask for a badge number they tell me IRM7462 and i ask for a physical address and they tell me 1111 constitution ave Washington d.c. 20224. Durring al of this i can barley understand them due to their accent i try asking for more information and all they will tell me is that i need to pay of they will take legal actions against my name. i try to ask for a supervisor and they told me that if i think this is a scam to just hang up i keep asking and they just repeat for me to hang up. buy the end of the conversation they said they were taking actions aginst me and was sending someone to me to make sure i was home. im still waiting (LOL)

Message is from an individual claiming to be Officer Brian Snider with the IRS and that you need to return his call as soon as possible because an arrest warrant has been issued for you and your physical address. I did not return the call, but saved the message in case it was needed. I knew it was a scam immediately.

A caller from 209--626-1363 called saying that I am in trouble with the IRS and must return the call immediately. I called back.

The person answering the phone spoke so fast with such a strong south Asian (Indian) accent that I asked what they wanted, who they were, where the were calling from, and were they calling from India. They were totally evasive. When I asked that they put someone on the phone who spoke better English they hung up.
