I received a call from +1(315)951-5020 and the message said that the IRS is filling a law suit against me, and that I needed to call back ASAP. The call first came in as a call from Finland, so I didn't answer it.

Scammer's phone415-363-0177; also shows on caller id as +011 415- CountryUnited States Victim LocationFL 32561, USA Type of a scamTax Collection
I received 4 phone scam messages on my answering machine supposedly from IRS in the last 24 hours. Messages were automated and stated, and I quote:
“This call is officially a final notice from IRS – Internal Revenue Services. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 415-363-0177. I repeat 415-363-0177. Thank you.”
Note that Internal Revenue Service is spelled as “Internal Revenue Services” with an “s” added to service. Also in the second sentence “The reason of” instead of “The reason for”.
I did not call the number back. Instead I blocked the number from my phone. Hopefully that will end the calls.
Any notices from IRS come in the mail, not by phone calls.
Go to the IRS website (www.irs.gov) and type in “phone scams” in the search bar or copy and paste the following link in your internet address bar.

Scammer's phone415-363-0177, 202-239-0595 Type of a scamTax Collection
My cousin got a call from two different numbers, (one in DC, one in San Francisco) identifying themselves as the IRS, and saying that she owed taxes from 1980-1985, and that if she didn't pay, they could arrest her and throw her into prison. When she hung up, the second number called her back and repeated the threats. She called me to assist her. I called the number, and either reached a recording "this magic jack customer is busy", or would have someone with a heavy accent answer the phone. They would ask for my name, and when I asked them to identify themselves, they would hang up.

My wife got a telephone call on her cell phone from San Diego, CA stating she was involved in a lawsuit. My wife did not answer the call, it went to voicemail. The women's voice said you are involved in a lawsuit and to call back. I instructed my spouse not to call back, instead I called the number (619-924-0158) from my cell phone. When I called the number (619-924-0158) from my phone, I got a Latino sounding women's voice who said she was an officer with the IRS. I heard many other conversations in the background (presumably) on the phone or making calls. I than hung up and instructed my spouse to add the number to "block caller" list.

I received a recorded call from "an officer of the IRS" telling me that they are taking legal action against me, this is my final notice and I should call immediately. The number I was to call was 310-905-3393. I did not call the number as I know I don't owe the IRS anything. The call came from 213-141-5163.

Scammer's addressBainbridge Island, WA CountryUnited States Victim LocationAZ 85085, USA Type of a scamTax Collection
I received a voicemail from +1 (206) 451-3624 Bainbridge Island, WA on January 25th 2016 at 10:43am. It was a pre-recorded woman's voice who identified herself and company as the Internal Revenue Service and threatened me that this is my final notice to contact them regarding the lawsuit that the IRS was filing against me. I thought that was strange as "final notice" since i am diligent about not only my taxes but any and all messages; so to say "final" waved a red flag as i had not seen any other notices. I called the number, still concerned I was being sued and had done nothing wrong, the man answered "IRS" when he answered the phone and i told him who i was and i sadly think i may have told him personal information like my SS# and he said that they had found a descrepency in my taxes between 2010 and 2014 and that i need to settle up with them immediately for $4,137 over the phone now or be taken to court. I told the guy he had to be more specific than an undefined problem sometime between 2010 and 2014 and he just repeated i needed to pay, I then asked for his IRS identification number so that i could look into things and possibly call back (but was really trying to find out who he was) and he said he needed to place me on hold and get his manager. They left me on hold until i eventually hung up after 10 minutes. This is a total scam and I dont want other people ripped off and I dont want criminals like this to go unpunished. Please track these criminals down and press all charges. I would be willing to testify against these people. My fear is that people will actually believe them, good trusting people, such as our elderly population and get ripped off by these crooks who have no conscience of stealing from honest people.

Someone just called my cell phone number and said the Internal Revenue Service was filing a lawsuit against me. When I said that they were not from the IRS, the caller hung up. I called back, and a man with a strong foreign accent answered the phone as, Internal Revenue Service. I said to stop calling me and they hung up again.
