I received a phone call on my answering machine that said that it was the last contact they were going to extend to us and that the IRS was investigating us and we needed to contact them immediately. Phone #954-812-3196. I called the number and some one with a very heavy accent answered and asked did I know how much money I owed the IRS. I told him that we did not owe the IRS anything. He asked 'are you sure' and I asked what department was he representing and he said 'you called me and you don't know who you are calling'? He again asked about the money we owed the IRS and that we had better take care of it. I repeated that I owed nothing and he was not going to get a payment from me for anything. He hung up.

The IRS left me a voicemail stating they were going to sue me and left a number to call back. They called back later in the day and told me that I owe taxes and were going to sue me if I didn't give them money. I am 90 years old and this call confused me. I asked several questions to the lady on the phone and she hung up on me. I contacted the ScamPulse.com to let them know of the phone calls and they confirmed that the IRS will not contact me via phone.

I received a phone call on 3/31/16 at 11:50am from a Sulphur, Kentucky number (502) 706-0391 saying it was the IRS. They had been trying to reach me. They are filing a lawsuit against me and that I should return their call at the number listed above. I did not return the call of course because I knew it was a scam.
