- Richmond, VA, USA

IRS impostor, indicating I was in violation of several IRS breaches, filing a fraudulent tax return, violation of IRS act, and tax evasion. Did not allow me to ask questions, was very belligerent, multiple threats of a warrant for my arrest. When I asked questions, he accused me of being rude, that he didn't care if _they_ were being rude, he was just doing his job, he didn't care about me, I was just a number. Then he advised that if I spoke more than yes or no, recorded the call, had any conversation with 3rd party during this call or had any background noise, he would immediately terminate the call and issue a warrant for my arrest. Said I had committed treason, that Homeland security is involved. When I answered his questions, he said he didn't believe me and thought I was being distrustful, that I was trying to dodge taxes. He cited two mailings to my address, the second saying that I had 30 days to respond. Since I didn't this was only a courtesy call to advise me they were sending sheriff to handcuff me and drag me to jail for three days, until I had my courthouse trial. He said that since I had a clean record, and although he was surprised I was trying to evade arrest, he could transfer me to a Sr. Case Manager who might have a *might* have time-sensitive alternative. Transferred me, and she began asking the same questions. I advised that I was hanging up, and terminated the call.

I have had someone calling me three different time's from 11-2015 to 1-2016 saying that they were from the IRS and that I was being sued by them for $30,000.00 I told them I had to check with my CPA

- Cumming, GA, USA

Very convincing call from an actual IRS general number in Buffalo. 716-200-5100 with a call back to 716-200-4980. Indian/Pakistani accents. Very threatening. Threatened my with impending arrest for tax evasion. Read an alleged affidavit that basically said I had broken just about every tax law.

- Medford, NY, USA

The automated caller stated this is the final notification that the IRS is going to file a lawsuit against me and I need to call this number to get more information. The recording stated one number and then repeated a different number at the end. Here are the 2 numbers it told me to call back 50-368-7081 & 509-288-4981. When I mentioned this to a few people, they told me they got this message this morning as well.

- Humble, TX, USA

The caller called and stated that he was Officer Edward Fitch with the IRS with the ID: IRM529700 - and he was calling because the IRS had filed a lawsuit against me. Stated that my taxes had been audited from 2008 to 2013 and found that I falsely reported earnings and owed $2400. He ask me if I wanted to handle in court or out of court because there was a warrant out for my arrest. I told him out of court and that's when he transferred me to someone else who stated I couldn't tell anyone about the call until after I received court documents. He said I needed to pay $500 up front then they would put the rest on a payment plan. I kept questioning him until he finally hung up the phone...

I received a call on my cell phone on Monday, 2/22/16 at 2:41pm EST from 360-810-6212. The message was:

"Hello, this call is officially a final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is that IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 360-810-6212. I repeat, 360-810-6212. Thank you."

I hope this helps prevent others from getting this same scam. I have kept the message on my voice mail if you should need further information.

Received voicemail from Internal Revenue Service [via text to speech program] Informing me that IRS is filling a lawsuit against me. **Transcription of call from voicemail** -- "...Internal revenue service the reason of this call is to inform you the irs is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file please call immediately on our department number 206 319-8780 i repeat 206 319 8780 thank you." -- Google says Bainbridge Island, WA was where the call originated from at 12:34pm on Feb. 19th 2016

I figured I'd report this since I read about SCAMS in East Brunswick on patch.com and that reminded me about this voicemail.. Well hope it adds on another count when they catch these [censored]. I attached a copy of the voicemail file in mp3

Thank you for your time.

Received a phone call from 206-317-9382, person claimed to be an IRS agent saying I owed $4500 from 2010-2014 and threatened arrest. Demanded $500 to make arrest warrant go away.

Mark Williams from the IRS office from phone number 360-209-8907 Ext 2128 called stating a Radom audit was done on my taxes from 2008-2012 and I underpaid $4986.00 and I would have to pay a penalty of $15,000 if something wasn't done in 24 hours. I would be picked up by federal marshalls and serve jail time. I supposedly received a notice in the mail July 2015 that wasn't responded to. (I never received anything).
