MAN WITH FOREIGN ACCENT LEFT MESSAGE ON HOME LANDLINE SAYING THAT A LAWSUIT WAS BEING PLACED AGAINST ME BY THE IRS, LEFT PHONE NUMBER TO CONTACT. NEXT DAY CALLED NUMBER TO CHECK ON IT AND MAN, SOUNDING WITH THE SAME ACCENT, ASKED FOR PERSONAL INFO, INCLUDING MY S.S. NUMBER. I REPLIED THAT IF HE WAS WITH THE IRS, HE SHOULD HAVE INFO ALREADY AND I TOLD HIM THAT I THOUGHT THAT IF WAS A SCAM. HE BECAME HATEFUL AND I HUNG UP.

An automated sounding voice has left two messages, one on 6/2/16 and another on Friday 6/3/16. The messages apparently started the moment the answering machine completed the circuit, because the first part of the message was not recorded. The messages told us not to delete their message until we had called them at 646-589-0693 before they " took action" against us. The voice left said their "department number" was "6465890693". The scammer did not directly ask for money, but I suspect that had we called the number they would have done so.

We are getting call after call about being sued by the IRS. The recording is an Amercian woman and when you call the phone number, the people that are answering are from another country.

Phone call received June 2, 2016 at 7:36 AM central saving time on my landline. Phone id came up as "unassigned" so let answering machine take call. No greeting. Recording was woman's voice stating " The reason for this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file. please call immediately on our department number 206-823-3374." Phone number was repeated and recording ended with "Thank you."

message on machine at 10:31 a.m. june 1,2016 stating that Irs is filing a lawsuit against me & I should call for more information. I did not call the number as I am fairly sure this is a scam.

Received a call from 573-832-8351 and a message was left on my answering machine. the message said that they were the IRS calling and were going to sue me. I called back the number and the man, with an Indian accent said, "Hello, IRS". I knew immediately it wasn't the real IRS because they Never answer the phone, especially on the first ring. I hung up. Since then, they've called again and I didn't answer.

I recd a call/recording at 12:30 PM this afternoon. A woman stated this is the IRS and this is the final notice regarding a lawsuit filed against you. Please call 206-823-3807. I tried to call the no. but it did not go thru. I was advised it was a scam. I live in TN and am aware of other people receiving this scam call.

This was a computer voice that said the IRS is taking legal action against me and I needed to call 202-836-9985 to settle our of court. I did not fall for this scam.

Individual claimed to be from the IRS and left a voicemail on my wife's phone. I called the number back from a different phone and someone answered, again claiming to be working for the IRS. I asked where he was located but he would not tell me. When I asked him what debts he thought I owed he hung up. I called back and got a busy tone and nobody answered. I called back a few minutes later from my wife's phone and he answered again. He told me he was an Officer with the IRS, but he still would not tell me where he was located, the address of the IRS, or what company he really worked for. The number 864-634-2181 registered from Anderson, SC.

Received a call from a man who identified himself as Michael Chaney and he had such a heavy accent I had to ask him to spell his name. He said this was the final notice before an arrest warrant would be issued for back taxes from 2010 and 2011.

I recd a call at 8:30 AM this morning and it was a recording. The woman stated this was the IRS and the IRS are filing a lawsuit against. You owe money to the IRS and call 503-729-8364 immediately. I did not return the call.

The message says the "IRS is filing lawsuit against...you." and goes on to give phone number to call back. Called 7 times on June 1, 2016 left 5 messages.
