My mother-in-law passed away in June 2024. I have received countless letters saying "final notice" for a home warranty. I have called repeatedly to have these notices stopped. The gentleman I spoke to today wanted the VISA number to update the account. He was unconcerned the person was deceased.

I received a letter in the mail that looks and reads very official stating that it is a final notice to respond to renew my Home Warranty. Among other things it says that "Failure to call and prevent a potential lapse in coverage could result in you being liable for all costs associated with any home repairs.... " At the top it reads FINAL NOTICE in all-caps and bold and ask to respond immediately by calling 1-888-404-4504. It is signed by Wade Grant, Program Director. This letter has an urgency tone and would make anyone, especially elderly people, fear their home warranty has expired. It was addressed specifically to me and has my personal information which made it seem legitimate. It uses a customer ID number and has a bar code as if its a government document. I did not give them any money but please look into this to possibly save someone else the heartache.

Home warranty final notice expires 1/24/2024. I called their phone number unknown who I talked to he said they were under Wrighters for all home warranties. Their records show I have not contacted them to get my Home Warranty up to date. I was told I would not be able to get warranty from any other company. The name he gave me for his company Omega Home Care. He started to give me another mane then hung up.

Got a piece of mail with a number to call about my home warranty through Hamlin bank. Called to see what the issue was and they were very pushy to give credit card information so they would have “peace of mind” that the house and appliances are safe. Called the local Hamlin bank to confirm it was a scam

scammer or telemarkter keeps sending me notifications supposedly concerning a home warranty through my bank, which they named my bank. This has been going on for several years. I spoke with my bank and they confirmed it was a scammer / telemarketer.

They keep stating that my home warranty through the bank is expiring, and wants me to update the coverage and/or information. They list a customer ID and try to tell me that I have an account with them, to which I know that I do not. They use my actual bank and actual home address to try to scam me out of unknown amount of money. Their is no return address what so ever listed anywhere, it is not on any of my banks legal letterheads or documentation. They give me a phone number to call of 1-888-404-4504 and the name Wade Grant as the program director. I called to confront, and they are very slick, and kept saying that I had an account with them (I know I do NOT) They are adament about being a legitimate company, but they are not. I hung up on them, they called me back, and my phone listed them as a telemarketer. I told them to stop and desist or else face legal consequences, and hung up on them again

Home warranty scam about my home warranty with ******* Bank was expired and I needed to call and activate a new home warranty through them. Wade Grant is the Program Director and contact person on the letter I received in the mail. This isn’t the first letter I have received since I moved into my house in 2023 so I received others scams just like this since property information is so public and scammers can access my property information so easily.

My father has been deceased since 2018. Since 2018-2024, my mother has continued to receive letters almost weekly from One Reverse Mortgage LLC regarding her home warranty being expired. My parents have never used One Reverse Mortgage LLC. The telephone number on the document(s) is 1-888-760-1910. There is never a website and/or address ever on any of the letter(s), It is complete harassment and invasion of one's personal space. Is there no way to make this stop?

I got a letter in the mail saying my mortgage company has been trying to contact me and this is their final attempt. They sent what looks like a check for $199 but it says in fine print “This is not a check.” Also the address they said my house is at wasn’t even correct. This is a scam.

Letterasking us to call because our home warranty was expired.

- Detroit, MI, USA • Nov 05, 2024

Saw this letter on my elderly mother's table and immediately knew it was a scam. The letter stated that her home warranty was either expired or going to be expired unless she called the program director, Wade Grant at 888-404-4504 before a certain date. The letter went on to state that failure to call Wade before the expiration date could result in the potential lapse of coverage and liability for all costs associated with home repairs. There's no company address on the letter. There is a barcode and customer ID number located at the top of the letter. Complete scam!!

- Allison Park, PA, USA • Oct 02, 2024

Got multiple letters about final notice for home warranty. Got duped and called and talked to people who signed me up for a package. They called back and said my payment declined. I called multiple times to cancel and they did a good job running me around and probably not cancelling anything. Definite scam
