The alliance was largely one of convenience for each member: the U.K. realized that the Axis powers threatened not only its colonies in North Africa and Asia but also the homeland. The United States felt that the Japanese and German expansion should be contained, but ruled out force until Japan's attack.

I received a letter in the mail for an expired home warranty. It was signed by Corey C*******. It had only one phone number, no address, no website. I googled the number to make sure I was correct that it was a scam.

This was a letter asking to call to prevent a lapse in coverage.

- Glassport, PA, USA • May 24, 2025

Got a post card requesting a call about homeowners protection for mechanical systems (warranty replacement notice is in the text in multiple places).

- Colorado Springs, CO, USA • May 23, 2025

“Home Warranty Department” sent an official looking letter with relatively standard “high pressure sales tactics” to my new home with their phone number. My name, mortgage lender, and other personal information were on this letter. I eventually called them to tell them to stop sending me mail and to place on their do not contact list.

After telling them I was not interested and didn’t need this, and to not reach back out, they proceeded to tell me that “the state requires you to purchase a home warranty so you do need it.” Being an adult male with a natural annoyance to these types of tactics I immediately questioned it while googling on my phone to verify what I knew was true. Then caller then insisted that if I did not purchase this I would be fined much more than the home warranty by “the state.”

This practice is extremely problematic. I did not fall for it, but had many other Americans called them, they very well would fall into what is either a scam (if this company is even real, which is questionable) or a very poor financial return on investment while feeling forced into it. Regardless of whether someone thinks this is a good return on investment or not, having legal action threatened is a classic mark of a scam.

When I challenged him hardly with, “what law are you talking about, I looked it up,” the caller immediately hung up.

I am fairly certain threatening legal recourse that doesn’t exist like this is illegal, if it isn’t, it needs to be. Buyer beware as your information gets sold to these companies by these credit unions and other related companies, because most of them are scams at best, and ill advised companies at worst.

If this is a real company, I home the ScamPulse.com can do something about this behavior.

We received the notice in the mail and did not respond to it. We do not have a home warranty so we knew that none was expiring. We live in Frederick County Maryland.

Scammer sent a piece of mail that wanted me to reply. They claimed my home warranty was about to expire. They said it was the final notice, which it was the only notice I was sent.

I receive letters from this source at least once a month saying that either my auto or my home warranty are about to expire unless I call the number and get "the Warranty up to date." The letters always show "FINAL NOTICE" front and center. They include a customer number and an expiration date. I recognize this as a scam, but am concerned that some other people might not, particularly since the letters keep coming and I doubt they would continue if they were not producing some revenue. I have called the number twice to request that removal from the mailing list, but after a few months without letters, they begin again, which is annoying.

I received a letter in the mail about a final notice on my home warranty stating it was from Wells Fargo, the bank with which my house is financed. The letter was addressed to my home address and included a check voucher for $199 or an amount like that. I called and was told my home warranty had expired and that I needed to pay for it. They told me that when I was charged it wouldn't say Wells Fargo but Pro Home and then the second charge would also have a different name. They asked for my phone number, email, and credit card number. I sadly gave them the information and then later learned it was a scam once I called Wells Fargo and they informed me they had not contacted me about a home warranty.

Rec'd letter addressed to myself, the homeowner stating to call 1-877-499-4406 regarding my home warranty at my address and stated this was secured by my mortgage company (by name). Failure to call would be a potential lapse in coverage. From Andrew ********, Program Director.

- Land O Lakes, FL, USA • May 10, 2025

Got a letter on the mail warning me about my Home Warranty expiring soon. It used my current lender as the owner of my current insurance, which is wrong as I never had insurance through my lender. Also, there is no address for this company, which is also very suspicious.

- Bellefonte, PA, USA • Apr 20, 2025

Received postcard via US mail stating I needed to call phone number listed within this narrative before 5/9/25 to7 register for uninterrupted dwelling protections on my mechanical systems. Formal looking notice that listed my Formal name, a registration ID # and a four digit pin# to provide during listed range of days and hours to call. Could easily panic and promote an uninformed/unsuspect-ing person to call and provide with vital personal information to scammers to dupe them of money, property... Especially seniors who are not savy about finances, technology, and are unsuspecting.

- Miami, FL, USA • Apr 09, 2025

Used name, address, and mortgage lender information to make it seem legitimate.
