"Attorney" attempting contact to locate members of a deceased family member who was a COVID victim about 5 years ago, and if the large sum of money ($11,060,000.00) was not claimed within 6 years, it will be turned over to the "abandoned property division". They pointed out they want 10% of the money to be "shared among charity organizations, while the remaining 99% will be shared equally". They also stated they "have all the necessary documentation to expedite the process in a highly professional and confidential manner. I will provide all the relevant documents to substantiate your claim as the beneficiary. This claim requires a high level of confidentiality, and it may take up to twenty (20) business days from the date of receipt of your consent."

Firstly my apologies if my letter came to you as a surprise since there has been no previous correspondence between us. I decided to contact you after a series of attempts to locate members of a deceased family. The transaction pertains to an unclaimed life insurance policy savings monetary deposit in the sum of 11 million 60,000 US dollars. The policyholder was one of our clients the late Dr Bernard ********, who was a real estate investor and precious stone dealer. He was a covid-19 victim who died about 5 years ago. Since his death no one has come forward to claim and all of our efforts to locate his relatives have proven unsuccessful. The insurance company code stipulates that the insured permanent policy not claimed must be turned over to the abandoned property division of the state after 6 years. I received a letter asking me to contact them about a life insurance benefit of $11 million dollars for a person who might be a relative of mine (they had the same last name). The payout would be 10% to charity, and 90% to be split between myself and the scammer. This letter was printed on letterhead and notarized. My address was very faint on the envelope, and someone had handwritten my address over it.

It claimed they were doing a claim for Dr Bernard *********. Said it’s free and they said this is very. Onfixential. They wanted me to. Contact them. I did not so I’m sure they would have asked form obey at that time.
