I received a letter asking me to contact them about a life insurance benefit of $11 million dollars for a person who might be a relative of mine (they had the same last name). The payout would be 10% to charity, and 90% to be split between myself and the scammer. This letter was printed on letterhead and notarized. My address was very faint on the envelope, and someone had handwritten my address over it.

They called about a supposed unclaimed Life Insurance Policy.

- Duluth, MN, USA • Apr 30, 2025

Letter from Anna Harmsworth, a principal partner with Slosnerick Law Firm, Toronto, Canada. Alleges that there is an unclaimed Life Insurance Policy in the sum of $11,060,000. The policy holder was late Dr. Bernard *****, who was a real estate investor and precious stone dealer. He was a Covid-19 victim, who died about 5 years ago. Since his death, no one has come forward for the claim and if unclaimed after 6 years, the money will be turned over to the abandoned property division of the state. Harmsworth seeks partner to claim the policy benefit with 10% of the policy to be shared among charity organizations, while the remaining 90% would be shared between us. She requests confidentiality and warns that it may take up to 20 days to process.

Received a letter in the mail claiming to have an $11,060,000 Life Insurance Policy to a man who died of COVID with no beneficiary. I share the same last name and might be entitled to the money. They want 10% of the proceeds an 50% of the remaining 90%. Just need to email them for details and procedure to finalize the transactions.

On Mar 29, 2025, I received a letter in the mail from Anna Harmsworth, ‘a partner with Anna Jarod Harmsworth & Associates, Toronto, Canada, stating a Dr Bernard ***** passed away 5 yrs ago from Covid and left behind 11 MILLION US DOLLARS in a Life insurance Policy. Since no one has come forth to claim it she is requesting I partner with her so it can be processed on my behalf. She will share 10% of the money with charity organizations and will divide the remaining 90% equally between us. She then shares her email to contact her: [email protected] and a website: [email protected] The letter has a “stamp” with the name and address of the lawfirm and a signature which I can’t read, but underneath it it says Principal Partner.

I never attempted to respond to what I believe is a scam.

The details match EXACTLY the previous scam already noted on your website, INCLUDINGo the identical amount of the estate, $11,060,00.00, to be dIvided 45% to Anna Harmsworth, 45% to me and 10% to charity. A very slick website about the Slosnerick Law Firm and one for the North Bay Credit Union were also present, although the addresses furnished turned out to be bogus when checked with Google Earth.

Since we share the same last name, they want to add my name to the policy.

Scammer said they couldn’t locate family members so contacted me since we share same last name. Deceased was a COVID-19 victim & had a life insurance policy worth US$11,060,000. Anna Harmsworth, Attorney at Law, wants consent to be in partnership to claim the benefits of the policy. States that 10% of proceeds will go to charity, 90% to be shared between us., States that the transaction is 100% risk-free. Said if I wanted more details to contact the law firm or [email protected]

Years ago it used to be the Nigerian scam in emails...They say, the inheritance should be claimed with them and you should send them 10% of the inheritance...

Address is not for the (invented) law firm, website is a construct (fake), phone # does not exist or goes to the criminal...

Be aware these criminals use your last name for the fake person who became deceased and left you all the money..., they create a story like ... the person died on covid and the time is running out to claim the inheritance money (e.g. $ 11,060,000.00) ...

Letter stating Anna Slosnerick wants 10% plus split 90% of relatives will and to be highly confidential. Unfortunately she’s doesn’t right well stating she wants instead of the firm is to retain the trust with a fee included and she spells l with small caps i instead of I. lol. Seriously! I researched her scam and Law Firm partner is said with same names as hers with full documentations. And 10% proceeds she calls it would go to charities. I can’t stop laughing .ldiots! I will turn over to the FBI.And letter says 100 % risk free. I can’t! I feel bad for others if they fell for this lnternational scam. **** ** **** ** ****** **** ******** No attorney says to keep it hush and her other email is : [email protected]
