While at work, I received two calls within 20 minutes of each other. Both left a message in my voice mail saying I am being sued by the IRS.Department of the Treasury. I Googles the phone numbers and this page came up, and I am sharing this information in hopes that these callers/scammers be caught before they cause serious financial harm to those gullible enough to believe them and make payments to them in hopes of clearing their names with the IRS/The Treasury Department. The numbers where the calls originated from shows on my phone as (213) 141-5163 and (631) 318-8611. The last number says the person calling is "David Grey/Gray" Both messages say I should call them back ASAP to "resolve" the matter so that I don't get in trouble with the law.

Received a voice mail from a David Gray (or Gregg - he had an accent, so not sure), stating he was with the US Treasury, and that charges have been filed against me (for what, he did not say). He further stated I needed to call him immediately (at 302-327-9044, Delaware) to discuss the charges, and to avoid a summons being issued for my arrest, and a possible court. If this were truly the IRS, they would 1st notify an individual by mail, and never do it initially by phone.

I see that the BBB of Canton Region/Greater West Virginia has released a warning about this very person.

Received a phone call originating from Oyster Bay, NY on 3/29/2016 from "David Gray" from phone number 1 + 516-595-8225. Individual claimed to represent the US Treasury Department. Further stated that the call was with regard to "An enforcement action" against me by the US Treasury and that if I did not call back I would be subject to "appear in front of a magistrate judge or grand jury for a federal criminal offense."

Caller left a call back number that did not match what was on the caller id: 1+410-904-3061

I am contacting you to advise that the phone scam being executed by a "David Gray" in which he says via recorded message that the US Treasury is bringing charges against me which was reported by your organization in Oct 2015 is active again. I have received two phone calls today, March 17, 2016 one at 9:30am central and another at 12:15pm central time. The message includes a callback number and then repeats itself. The number that appears on caller ID is identified as Minneapolis MN and the number is 651-333-4976.

"David Gray" called from Atlantic, NY at phone number (631) 729-5316. He said that the US Treasury Department had taken an "unfortunate action" against the person he was calling (no name for the person he is calling). He threatened that if I didn't contact him, I would have to stand before a magistrate judge or grand jury for a federal criminal offense. He says he wants me to cooperate with him so he can help me. I did not call him back, but I do think this is a scam.
