THIS IS A SCAM! I am a legal professional. According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act all creditors MUST state who they are, who they are representing, or who the original creditor was, and more importantly you must receive a letter explaining the debt, date of origination, amount, etc. At that point, you as a debtor have thirty days to dispute the validity of the debt, but you must receive details of the debt. Without the demand letter explaining such, they are not able to collect on the debt, meaning they cannot move forward with any collection processes, i.e. Court, etc. In the 20 plus years in the legal field I have never heard such crap, "calling from the mediation dept" from what organization [censored]s?! These are simply bottom dwellers. They called me and asked them all of these questions and they could not give me the date of the original debt or the amount. At that point was when I unleashed the wrath. What I found really interesting though was when I called first and did star 67 before the number so they could not see who was calling, I received an answering machine. What year is it? The recorded message only said "mediation department" okay from where, what business? The second time I called they picked up. I have reported the number and number they called me from to the FTC, the attorney general of my state and the attorney general of the state where the area code is from regarding the initial call. I personally then, which I don't recommend but it makes me feel better because they won't report you, why, because they are crooks, I texted the number where the first call came from and told them that if they ever contacted me again that I would find them and cause them bodily harm that would be painful in ways unimaginable.
I have zero tolerance for people who do not want to work for a living and prey on the elderly or those who they put the fear into.

This number 949.750.8829 called with a prerecorded message with my husbands name about notice to serve or something. Message was extremely spotty. Said to call back 855.485.4988 sounds super scammy to me. They also called my husband and his parents with the same information.

Received very broken recorded message, I wouldn't even call it a "voicemail" with my name which sounded like I owe money to some aviation company which I had no association with. The caller ID showed a different inactive number. After listening and trying to understand what it was saying I knew this is a scam. My suggestion to anyone who got a message from this number do not call back, instead report it.

This number called 2 of my family members saying they are trying to get me served from a loan I took out 11 years ago and never paid back. They said they are ready to settle or they'll see me in court. I settled for 2k.. now I think I might have been scammed. I'm hoping they don't use my card for other things.

My mother-in-law received a voicemail saying my name, and that I was trying to be served papers. The audio was very spotty. I called the number and they had my info from 10+ years ago, saying a delinquent loan company was suing me for not paying them back. I could go to court or pay the lump sum. Then said I could pay a one time fee today if $1900 to settle all debts. She had my social, and address. She never said her name.

I had the same thing happen to me today claiming that I owe money and I could settle if I pay $350 today. But they had my kids fathers email that’s passed over 10 years ago that I had no access to.
