Initially reached out to breeder through email. There’s no address or phone number on website. Then Horace sent me a text, so then I was communicating through texting. I did ask if he could respond through email and he said no it will be all through text, even though they ask you for your email. So I asked for additional photos of the puppy we were interested in and he provided them. I was asked where they are located and it was Denver. I wanted to do a pick up and asked if I could pay him person and he was fine with this. Denver is a bit of a drive for me, (1500 miles), but I was willing to make the drive to pay in person and see the puppy in person. Then I asked if the Denver location is the actual breeders location and if he could provide the address. I also brought up a scam posted on them and sent it to him to see what he had to say about it. Letting him know I was just wanting to make sure they’re legitimate and this is why we are wanting to do a pick up in person. That was five days ago and crickets… No response. Just want to make sure people are aware that if they are looking into purchasing one of their puppies. If you live very close for a pick up, I would highly recommend pick up in person and to be able to see the puppy in person as well pay in person. If you are having puppy shipped, please see other posting on a puppy shipping through them and what happened.

We were looking for a Blue Heeler and came across what seemed like a legitimate website. After filling out the “Contact Us” form, we received a text from someone named “Wilbur.” He asked common questions that shelters and breeders typically ask, such as how long the dog would be alone and whether we were familiar with the breed.

Wilbur stated that the dog cost $750, with an additional $350 for shipping. We paid a total of $1,100 via Zelle to an Alexya Wormely. The next day, he informed us that shipping was scheduled for later that day. Shortly after, we received an email from the “shipping company” confirming the shipment and providing tracking details.

Later, we received another email stating that the dog required a $1,000 insurance policy before it could be shipped. When I texted Wilbur about this, he told me to hold on while he looked into it. He later responded, claiming it was a new policy he hadn’t been aware of and advised me to pay it, assuring me I would be reimbursed.

At this point, I became suspicious and requested a refund. Wilbur agreed, but I never received my money back.
