Received a text message from an unnamed company that claims to relieve all student loans but I know in fact this is untrue. Just would like to report it and create awareness for these type of scamming companies.

- Los Angeles, CA, USA

I have been getting 2-5 calls a day for the last few months. No one every answers but yesterday a live person answered right away and asked if this is Mrs. (my name) so I said yes then the call disconnected. I want to report this because it was a live person asking the question. It just happened yesterday but now I am very scared that someone will try to make me pay for something I did not order

Not sure but I assume a scam because when I answered a woman said "hello, Andy"? And answered "yes" and they hung up.

- Palmyra, PA, USA

The front office a work forwarded me a call. I answered it and the unknown male voice asked if I was ______. I said said "yes" and he immediately hung up the phone. Based on what I have read about this number it may be part of "Yes" scam.

- Bloomington, IN, USA

I received a call about a warrant on my car expiring. I was said to say "yes" to speak to a representative, when I said "yes", the phone hang up.

- Topeka, KS, USA

Time of call 04/25/2017 at 10:49. Caller's caller ID was +1 (844) 247-5315. Caller's name "Unknown."

Message was a robotic female voice. Message as follows:

"This call is to inform you that IRS is suing a law suit on your name because you have tried to do a fraud with the IRS Internal Revenue Service and we are taking a legal action and we are issuing an arrest warrant on your name. To get more information regarding this case file, just call us back on our department number 844-247-5315. I will repeat it: 844-247-5315. Thank you. "

Trying to get me to say "yes"

Stated he had Obamacare update then asked if I was covered. I foolishly said yes. Now realize it was a scam and ended conversation

Answered the phone, a voice says "oh, hello. This is Julie. Can you hear me?" I hung up both times I got calls from this number.

I saw previously on the news that there is a scam where they are trying to get a "yes" response in order to charge something to you, and demanding payment afterward.

Person just tells me im on a recorded line and if i mind them recording it....i think they're trying to get me to say yes. After one word they hang up. Been getting multiple calls like that.

Number keeps calling throughout the day til i answer. Asking about my health insurance, i believe trying to get me to give em a one-word answer, then they hang up right away.

Call just asked and told me i was on a recorded line and if it was ok if they recorded, then immediately hung up. I think they were trying to get a one-word answer, i keep giving them not-so-nice answers!!!

I had 4 calls today from a person stating that they were calling from Microsoft saying I had multiple viruses on my computer and trying to access my information. I told them I have received calls from other companies trying to get my information and that if they call again I'd report them to the BBB. They yelled at me and hung up and called 3 other times. I called the number back and it stated the number was not a working number.

- Slidell, LA, USA

I answered yes to initial question of are you "my name"? Then they just hung up.

- Omaha, NE, USA

They called and asked if I was who I was and I said yes without even thinking about it and then they hung up. I read in the news that this was a happening and so I'm reporting it.

- Sacramento, CA, USA

On Monday, April 17th, 2017, at 1529 hours PST, I received a telephone call from (916) 209-4388; the number came up as "Unknown Name" out of Lincoln, California.

When I answer the phone, I could tell I was being transferred to a call center and the representative answered the phone had a British or Indian accent. The representative said "Mr. ***" (my last name is actually ***); I responded "Yes" and the phone line immediately disconnected.

I attempted to call the telephone number back and an automated message said the phone number was not in service.

I believe this was a con or scam designed to record my voice and me saying "yes" for the purpose of fraudulent activity or identity theft.

I've received multiple calls since April 13, 2017, from the 800 DirectTV number. When I finally was able to answer, the person asked me if my name was John. Instead of saying "yes," I asked him (because the number was DirectTV's) if he needed some survey info from a recent installation we had had done. He said he was LexMark (or something like that) and was calling from the hospital. I repeated his info back to him because it was so confusing. Then he hung up. That's when I realized it was probably a scam. I hope my family's accounts are okay.

- Port Orchard, WA, USA

Reminded me of the "yes" scam going on but they spoke in French. The only word I understood was "oui" Thought it could have been my son calling as he is stationed overseas. At this time, haven't noticed any changes in credit cards or bills. I'm not sure if they were out for money or what but just seemed fishy.
