Fake Home Warranty Expiration Notice - Phishing Scam Reports & Reviews (35)

- Bronxville, NY, USA • Aug 26, 2025

I received an official looking letter which included details about my new address (we moved) and my mortgage lender.

when I called the number, they were employing misleading and aggressive sales tactics.

after I asked a few questions, they also referred to the business as "Omega Home Care".

I was savvy enough to be skeptical and ask a lot of questions. I'm concerned they would easily dupe people who were not naturally skeptical.

I keep getting letters in the mail about my "home warranty" about to expire OR has already expired. They claim to be US Home Guard 833-732-2503, 931 Main Plaza Dr. Wentzville, MO. Anyway it's clearly a scam so DO NOT CALL them or answer in any way. I reported it to the Federal Trade Commission. This is the second time I've reported, probably nothing will happen just tear up the letters and throw them away. I worry about older people falling for this though since it looks official. I remember back in my old home they started sending letters after my dad died and I inherited his house. What was creepy was they claimed to be from his bank and knew the name of his bank but the bank had been bought out by another bank and was going by a different name which they didn't know. I called his bank and they had no record of a home warranty, I was unsure at that time since I didn't know what he'd done but now I know to throw them away if I ever get them.

We received a Final notice in the mail for a new house we recently purchased. It states that it's an important matter regarding our property. It was listed in my name and stated my address, but it said it's secured by your current lender, which is classified for Privacy. It stated it's their FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY ME, but I've never received this letter before. It has a Home owner ID with an attached allocated waiver fee.

Letter in the mail to call

- New York, NY, USA • May 07, 2025

Makes it seem that you need to call them for home warranty. 888-404-4504

- Massapequa Park, NY, USA • Apr 16, 2025

Received a letter in the mail stating final notice and that it is important that I contact the office at 888-404-4504 to avoid delays in coverage. This is now the third time I have received a letter like this. I had a feeling this was a scam but called the number anyway. The first time I called, I asked the man what date this warranty was started, and the man stated a date in which I did not even own my home. I then proceeded to tell the man that this is a scam, and the man began yelling and cursing on the phone. I then called back to speak with the "program director" Vicky Mercer that was listed on the letter, but the man stated she was busy and could not speak. I then proceeded ask the man the same question I asked the man earlier, what year did this warranty start? The man stated he did not have that information. This is really disturbing as this letter could scam the older generation. This needs to be stopped as I see there are multiple other complaints about the same letter. Please please shut this down ASAP!
