I recieved a call asking if I was (name). He had a huge accent (you can tell he was Indian and not from this country). I said yes and then nothing happened. I hung up after 20 seconds. I called back ten minutes later and the phone number does not exist.

Actual real person Caller had "American" country boy accent. Asked if i was had HAM RADIO license and then said had a message for me, did i want to hear it? Kept asking if i wanted to hear the message... message was "..a reminder to renew your license.." with invalid dates, etc. Did not want to get more info, did not offer to do the renewal for me.. Expect was a phishing scam to either record a "yes" or if i was not asking so many questions, maybe would have sought more personal information. Very illegitimate.

I did not answer, but scammer left automated voicemail stating that an arrest warrant has been issued in my name and to call the number. My cell phone says caller is from Oregan and I live in Illinois. I searched the phone # online and see others are getting the same messages.

Pretends you are on a long wait. Was told I was the 14th caller. It took only about 90 seconds to move up. I was told they needed a one time charge to my debt or credit card of $1.99. I told them I do not give out my card to someone I do not know and they said have a nice day and hung up.

I live in Green Bay, WI. I got a call from someone asking If I could hear them. I believe I may have said "yes" but the call was breaking up. So I told them I could no longer hear them and I asked who I was speaking with. The call was disconnected. They called back many times and I answered a couple of times to see if I could figure out who it was but I didn't respond to their question of "Can you hear me?" I just asked who they were and then they would hang up. They called relentlessly until I blocked their number.

I have heard about the phone scam to get people to say yes. I received what appeared to be a local call from number 309-664/5233 it appeared to be a recording as I was listening my wife asked I would come help he I said Yes. Once I said yes the call dropped. I hit call back because it seemed fishy and I received a message that said this phone number was not in use.

Caller said my name had been chosen from a recent confirmation of a stay at a Marriott property and had qualified for a free trip. Then asked if I was over the age of 21? After responding "yes" the caller hung up.

Ironically, we just stayed at a Marriott 2 weeks ago.

"423" is our area code and "745" is a local exchange. I should have known better.

Received a call to my cell phone. It was a recording stating that my car warranty has expired and I haven't responded to their attempts. It is my last opportunity to renew the warranty. The recording asked if I'd like to speak with a representative. I said YES REMOVE MY NUMBER! And, then they disconnected with no agent speaking with me.

Every day, several times a day I get a call from a robo call with an machine talking. I don't hear the beginning of the message because it talks while my machine is talking but they claim there is a law suit being filed against me. I know for a fact that there is no such thing. I also don't know anyone in Miami, FL. IF there were such a suit I would get it in the mail so I am not falling for this, but I AM getting tired of getting these calls. The Do Not Call list is a joke because of the computer generating the calls. Please get this to stop.

It seemed like a client phone call at first and started out as jumbled with a "Can you hear me" and then started an automated response. I accidently said "yea, I can" like a fool and then quickly hung Up.

I answered a call to my wife's cell phone. The caller said, "Martin?" I said, "Yes." He responded that he was calling about some work we wanted done. I said, "I don't know what you are talking about," at which point he hung up.

I called the number that came up on my wife's cell phone a few minutes later, and a recording said it was disconnected.

I am suspicious that this is a variation of the "can you hear me scam."

A few days ago I did I search for a loan. Today 5/3/17 I received a text message saying that I was approved for a $ 7000 loan and to contact a Alex White at 347-427-8395 (a NY number) I called and a person answered saying this is Alex( he had a Creole accent) he asked my name only and I told him. Just with my name he said I had been approved for a loan in the amount of $7000. He then told be he was calling from a ScamPulse.com accredited bank and that before he could transfer the money to my bank account I had to prove that I had $100 in expendable cash and the only way I could prove that I had the money was to buy a gift card for $100 and give him the info off the card. He also said when we hang up he would send a text telling Which card to buy. I received a text message asking me to buy a I tunes gift card and when I purchased it to call him. I thought this was a scam instantly and called the ScamPulse.com and they asked me to post this complaint

This is a possible Scam from and Orlando Area Code. The caller asked if we could hear them, followed by saying I heard there is someone in your family that is hard of hearing? We said "No" to the second question, but don't remember our first response because it happened so quickly. The caller immediately hung up after we said NO.

Answered the phone as it was a local number. Caller asked my name. I stated "This is!" Sounded like caller couldn't hear me or was adjusting the phone. Caller again asked is this ___? Again I stated Yes, this is ___! and with that the caller disconnected.
