Call starts off with a bit of static, then a woman's voice comes on and says something like "oh, Im so sorry I was breaking up there, can you hear me now?" Then they ask several yes or no questions about "you or a family member suffering from a chronic illness, pain or any other medical conditions" several times. This is one of those scams where they get you to say "Yes" so they can authorize charges.

Phone number called me and immediately hung up. Called them back and VOIP is illegible. All that is heard is "If you want to be placed on do not call list, press 1" and then it immediately hangs up. Can't reply with "1" because it hangs up right after.

Same number called 4 times. Answered on the 4th call. The person ask if it was me on the other end. I said "yeah", they hung up right after that.

I receive a call as well as my brother where they state that I'm in the middle of a civil suit and that unless I paid them $1600 I will have to go to court. When asked where this is from she became rude and yelling saying that I didn't want to cooperate and that they will take me to court. Went to the company website where they state that company has been out of business for a long time and anyone asking for money on their behalf is committing fraud.

The above references numbers called me several times over a fine day span. They left me messages stating I would face legal consequences if I did not call them back. Although they didn't State the name of their organization nor did they leave a contact name or phone number. I called them back and simply asked, " Why does their organization keep calling me?" And the man whom had a strong accent abruptly hung up. I decided to contact KDVR aka Fox 31 news here in Denver and they interviewed me and aired my story on yesterday's need at 5. They suggested I report this to the ScamPulse.com scam tracker; and so I did. Whomever these people need to be stopped as I personally felt threatened and harassed. And now I'm concerned they were attempting to steal my identity.

He wanted me to set up PayPal and over pay for an item I had on kijiji. He wanted to pay $500 for my $180 item. He asked I mail it overseas too. And I pay for that.

This was all on text.

I got a phone call and the caller asked a benign yes or no question in which I answered yes to. They then went on to say that I qualified for a medical alert system. When I tried to interrupt and tell them that I was not a senior citizen they just kept talking. I said No a number of times and then hung up. Because I've heard of the scams where they ask you a question like "can you hear me" and then use your "yes" answer to say that you agreed to the product I wanted to report this phone number. I do not know the name of the company just that they were selling a medical alert device.

Asking for money for exchange of Auto or more money or something of greater value.

This automated scam encourages using "yes" based on presenting VW ownership confirmation. I owned a VW and assumed these scammers gained access to VW owners list somehow. I will be on the look out for unauthorized transactions.

Company offers to lower all your credit card rates to 0% interest. They are just trying to obtain credit card information from unsuspecting individuals. I wish there was a better way to report this.

Appears to be a "yes" scam

- Harrison, OH, USA

I received a voice mail advising the licenses on all my microsoft software had expired and ...... Unfortunately, I deleted the voice mail before I listened to the rest of it. I presumed they were going to ask for money to keep the licenses active. There is no way Microsoft would have my home number and, since I'm not a business, I am not too sure my licenses have an expiration date.

- Elgin, OK, USA

This was a robo call, they had my full name not thinking I said yes and they hung up. I called the number back twice, got two different people who gave me two different businesses, asset manager and collection company.

- Baytown, TX, USA

Got the "Can you hear me now?" phone call. It was an Unknown identity and no phone numbers showed up. However, the location was from the town I was in, so I answered it. It was an automated "Hello" 3 times that "spoke" as I said hello (talked over me), then a "Can you hear me now?"...I hung up.

- Altamonte Springs, FL, USA

I received a phone call from a local number 1-321-522-3966 from Cocoa, Florida according to the caller ID(could be a cloned cellphone). The Person announced himself as Pat from some National Medical place. He said it kind of fast and then asked if I could hear him, I said "Yes I can hear but...." and almost as soon as I said that the line cut off. Now when I call back it goes to an automated service giving 2 options of speaking to someone or being put on their internal do not call list. I chose the first option and of course, everyone is busy. It suggests calling back and suggests sending any questions to an email address, then gives out the email of [email protected]. I am unsure what happened but am betting it is not good.

- Washington, DC, USA

An automatized system asked a question to which I said "yes", the phone dropped. Then I called back and the system asked me to dial 1 to get me out of the phone lists and I did. After a quick online search, I realized that this is the method used by scam phone calls, and I may be at risk of being a victim.
