2019 Toyota 4Runner offered on Craigslist for well below market value. Seller claimed to own the vehicle as a result of a recent divorce. Seller would not communicate by phone claiming to have had throat surgery. Seller offered to ship the vehicle at no cost to me via "TS Global Logistics." Company's website has many irregularities and appears to be complete BS. When I called the "company" someone with Asian accent and obvious electronically disguised voice described their "escrow program" - the company offers to hold payments in escrow for a 5 day approval period, etc etc. I asked if we could use a local bank for escrow, he answered "No" and that's when I hung up. By ALL appearances a total scam from top to bottom, but clearly they know how to fake out Google... initial search of this company produced legit-looking results but it all dissolves on closer inspection. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

I was searching for a used car to purchase on Facebook marketplace where I found a jeep grand Cherokee for sale. We sent an inquiry to the seller to learn more about the vehicle. Rosa Grigsby is the name of the fraudulent individual selling the Jeep Grand Cherokee for $40,000. Note that the pictures of the car show a Track Hawk which is a highly sought after and much more expensive car. So, the sale price made us wonder why Rosa would be selling this for half the market price when she could go to the dealer and walk way with $70-80k in a heartbeat. Red flag 1. Next red flag was the low mileage (11k) as most Track Hawks available for sale in other websites typically don’t have such low mileage. I received several emails from Rosa regarding my interest when buying her car and then a story about how she is a flight attendant for American Airlines. How she’s away for most of the time while going through a divorce and, as such, she is working with TS glibal logistics to sell the car. Red flag again. Supposedly, TS has the car, the papers and the keys and they will handle the transaction for her. I can share all emails, pictures and documents that were provided to me as needed. As I commenced the buying process with TS global logistics they sent me an email with the details. They requested my drivers license, front and back, my Social Security number, Selfies. Once the information was provided then they would send the bank wire transfer details where I would need to send $40,000 upfront before they would deliver the car. More red flags.

When I reviewed the documents sent to me I noticed some grammar issues and when I checked the name of the notary for the escrow agreement, Thomas Guzzo, he is an unemployed. He is a former Webster bank employee in West Hartford, Connecticut. So they may be impersonating him as well along with Rosa Grigsby… I called the number provided to me for TS global logistics (address 750 Main St. Hartford CT 06103; phone 860.245.1250) and the individual had a foreign accent. I am guessing European or Russian given my travel and work experience. He proceeded to tell me how all of this information was needed for insurance and this was the purchase process. When I challenged him, he again arrogantly replied that my insurance couldn’t cover this even though supposedly we were both using Geico. The mind game here was he was quickly willing to walk away from the sale attempting to intrigue me further when noting this car sale is such a good deal. Too good to be true deal. The sophistication of this fraud is quite extensive. They communicate on Facebook, Gmail, Phone with multiple parties responding while providing escrow documentation and other information. This is more complext than i have seen before and someone is bound to get fooled and tricked out of $40k. I contacted the Connecticut Better Business Bureau, Suzanne, and informed her of the story. These individuals are already well known for their online scams. She provided the following information and asked that I file the scam on different sites. As of now, I haven’t engaged further but if needed I could pursue the purchase of this car if it would help you catch these individuals. Regards Forrest Hayes 2038487709
