I received a call from Monroe, Louisiana claiming to be with Social Security. The message was very broken up but from what I understood they claimed someone was using my social security information. They said mentioned something about $100 being taken from my Amazon Prime account. However, I am not on the internet and have no such Amazon Prime account.

Person called me on my cell number stating he was from the SSA and that my SSN has been used. For more information press 1. When I pressed one the person asked how can I help you. I told him that he called me. Then I said you called me; this must be a scam. Then he said IF you thought it was a scam why did you press 1 *******. Then he hung up. I called the number back and just a regular person answered. Person that called me had a very strong accent. Just don’t want this to happen to anyone else. Thank you

I answered a call on my cell phone. The caller identified themselves as being with Social Security. It was a man. He did not give his name. Called from phone number 216-849-8900. I answered because it was a 216 area code. I thought it was a local call. I know Social Security does not call. Especially on a Saturday. They would sent a letter. I did not give him a chance to say anything else. I said if you call back here again, I'm going to call the police. He hung up.
