Person called pretending to be former employer. I responded thinking it was something related to another notice sent out by the company (confirmed real). Asked me a question to get me to say "yes" then hung up.

I was asked “**** ****, can you hear me?” to which I replied “Yes.” Then I remembered we should not answer yes to this type of question from an unknown caller. He immediately hung up.

I attempted to call the Trax Credit Union card services number on the back of my debit card which is 866-820-1988, however I dialed 800-820-1988 by mistake. The person answered and said can you hear me? I said Yes I can. Then she said something about a free offer, and I hung up. It seems these people are targeting misdials.
