Received a call from Publishers Clearing House. The gentleman told me that I had won the Publishers Clearing House and they were going to come to my home and deliver my new car and prize money. He asked me how old I was, where I banked at and if I had any stocks. He told me I would need to send him $4,500. I told him didn't have that much money and he asked me how much I could send. I told him that I am not paying anything and said if I needed to pay I could pay it out of my winnings. He told me I couldn't do that. I told him I thought this was a scam. I called the Publishers Clearing House and they confirmed that this is a scam.

The scary part was that he knew my full name and address.

He asked if I was married, and he's been talking to my husband as well. He asked if I wanted it publicized or kept confidential. I told him I wanted something in writing from PCH.

He asked What time would I be home because a lady from UPS will be delivering mail to me today about the prize. He said you know who PCH is, well you've won. He had an accent. He said something about not telling anybody until they got there. I told him I would see him at my house at 4:30pm.

I received a call today from David Beck pretending to be Publisher's Clearinghouse. He said I had won 2.5 million and a 2019 Mercedes Benz. He said I needed to pay $310 for handling the check, otherwise the bank would take a lot of fees out of the check. He said you don't sound excited, and I said I don't know if I should be. He asked if I would be giving any money to the church, and I said yes. He told me to go to Walmart or CVS to buy a Vanilla Gift card. I said that was too far. So I went to the Family Dollar Store in Frazeysburg, OH. He stayed on the phone with me. He wanted me to take the phone in with me but I left it in the car. I usually take a walker, but I left it in the car too so it was hard to get around. I took the Vanilla Card to the clerk. I wanted to pay for it with my credit card. The clerk put the transaction through but it was rejected. She said you can't pay for the Vanilla card with a Mastercard. I went back to the car, and I told him I couldn't pay for the card. He asked if there wasn't somebody I could borrow the money from like my parents. I said they're dead. He said he was sorry that happened, isn't there anybody else I could borrow the money from. I said I'm on Social Security and don't get much. He said he would hold the check for me to buy a card when I get my disability check. He asked if I was married. He asked if I wanted to keep it confidential. He did not have an accent. A couple of years ago I got a check in the mail with a letter which I took to the bank, and they said it was not good.

6 Phone calls from "Publisher's Clearing House" they claimed that they needed me to send them money in order to claim the check. Someone would be by in 35-45 minutes to provide the check. They would go with me to the bank to make sure it got cashed and that I wasn't laundering money. They also asked me if there was anyone else in the house.

James * *** called me saying he was with the Publisher's Clearing House. He wanted me to pay $954 to the bank for taxes in order for me to receive $8.2 million.

Was told I had won Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes all I had to do was pay them $2500 gift card from Family Dollar and the prize patrol would bring my big old check lol

My father received a call on his cell phone from a man stating he was from the Publishers Clearing House. He said his name was James Summers and that my father won a sweepstake prize. The first call was placed on August 5, 2019 at 8:35am. James called my father's cell phone over 18 times that day, allowing approximately waiting only 4 minutes before placing the next call. The calls went on for several hours that day. I'm not sure what day my father gave in and arranged to wire the $91 dollars to cover what James said were fees and taxes for the winnings. Unfortunately, my father also incurred internal call fees totaling approximately $350 dollars attempting to end the harassing calls from James. We have suspended my father's cell number with Verizon. I hope this information helps put an end to the scam.

Contacted today by scammer today at 9:30 am left a voice mail. Michael cooper 876-*** stated that she had won a package from publishers clearing house. He called back later and stated she needed to purchase a visa vanilla card for 200.00. Ask where she lived, what kind of car she drove, about bank accounts. She gave address and car info. She told him she had closed a bank account. She was to get 2,500,000 and a new Mercedes. She went to walgreens and purchased a card and gave him the account number, expiration date and security code. She told her youngest son and he told her it was a scam. I took the card back to walgreens and was able to transfer the money to a walgreens gift card. The card still had a balance of 200.00 when I used it. He had called back while I was gone and ask more banking information. Her son was with her and did not allow her to give any info. He is to call tomorrow and be here at 10:30 to bring her prize.
