Contacted today by scammer today at 9:30 am left a voice mail. Michael cooper 876-*** stated that she had won a package from publishers clearing house. He called back later and stated she needed to purchase a visa vanilla card for 200.00. Ask where she lived, what kind of car she drove, about bank accounts. She gave address and car info. She told him she had closed a bank account. She was to get 2,500,000 and a new Mercedes. She went to walgreens and purchased a card and gave him the account number, expiration date and security code. She told her youngest son and he told her it was a scam. I took the card back to walgreens and was able to transfer the money to a walgreens gift card. The card still had a balance of 200.00 when I used it. He had called back while I was gone and ask more banking information. Her son was with her and did not allow her to give any info. He is to call tomorrow and be here at 10:30 to bring her prize.

A woman supposedly by the name of Mary, called to tell me, that I had won $27,000,000. She did not speak good English and when I ask why she was calling from Jamaica, she said that they had lots of different offices, not just in New York. She said that the delivery could be made latter today. I told her she would have to swim real fast, to get here by then. She hung up.

I received a phone call from this number and they claimed to be Publisher's Clearing House. They stated I had won $2.5 million and were to pay me $700,000 a week. I was required to submit a payment of $700 to receive the winnings.

I got a call allegedly from Publishers Clearing House saying I won money and a car. They said the check and car would be delivered to my home accompanied by a lawyer. They didn't ask for anything immediately but did say I would need to pay $199 with a OneVanilla gift card at the time of delivery. They also said they would accompany me to the bank with the check. After speaking with BBB, I called the real Publishers Clearing House and they confirmed it was a scam.

I got a call today from Albert Johnson w/Publishers Clearinghouse today. He said I won $4 million and Mercedes Benz. He asked if I wanted it to be public or private. I said public. He asked me if I really wanted people to come out and take pictures. He said it would be better to keep it private. He said not to tell anybody because he didn't want his men to be injured with all that money on them (when they deliver the money). He said "Aren't you happy to have this gift from God?" He assured me it wasn't a joke as he was a minister at his church. He said I needed to pay a one percent tax. He asked if I had a credit card, I said yes, but didn't give him the number. He told me to go to Walmart in Mt Vernon. He asked if my spouse was home and what he was doing today, and how many other people were in the house. He told me to call him back at 775-297-4449. He had an accent. He kept me on the phone for 20 minutes.

Consumer has received 6 calls from a business claiming to be Publisher's Clearinghouse, stating he won a "luxury prize". When he called the number back, the prize is so large, there was a fee to claim the prize. They also said they would call the consumer back with the cost of what it would be to claim the prize.

I received a call from a man, said his name is Alex Nelson badge # 1994, said he was with The Publishers Clearing House. He said that I was the winner of 3 million U.S. dollars, $50,000 cash and a brand new 2019 Chevy Malibu. He wanted to know if I was going to be home for the rest of the evening because they were going to deliver my package to me today, although he never asked me for my physical address. He said he was currently calling me from a city just north of the town I live in, however, the caller ID on my cell phone said the call originated from Jamaica and I'm located in the central U.S. The only thing I needed to do was immediately go to Walmart money center and make a one time cash transfer of $219.00 to cover the registration cost of my winning package. The recipient of this said money transfer is a man by the name of Mark Duckworth, address: 3040 N. Lakeview drive, Sandford MI, 48657. The man on the phone told me to call him back at a different number other than the one he called me on, 202- 871- 5852, just as soon as I made the transfer. He tried reassuring me that he is a Christian man and would never deceive anyone and that I could trust him.

I was told that a prize patrol would be at my house as well as a armored Brinks truck and television crew with police and lawyers!!!!! All I had to do was provide money for the taxes! I contacted Publishers Clearing House and was informed that they NEVER call you on the phone as well as NEVER ask you for any money!!!!!! DONT give anyone money!!!!! They call you from numbers from Canada!!! It’s ALL a scam!!!!!!

I received a call on my home phone. The caller stated he was with Publishers Clearing House. Said he was my agent. Todd Sloan. He said I won $2.5 million. He asked if I wanted to receive my prize privately or on TV. Wanted me to pay $1000 for taxes. He was coming from New York to my house. He said I could pay out of my bank account. He did not ask for account numbers. He said I could buy two Gift Cards. A Vanilla Pre Paid. for $500. Wanted me to go to Walgreens.I went to Walgreens to look into buying the card. The Clerk at Walgreens told me it was a scam. I would have to read the numbers off. I kinda thought this was a scam. I was not sure. My friend and I checked online. The real Publishers Clearing house does not ask for money. I told him it was a scam. He said to check with the Better Business Business. Their phone number is 866-330-1775

A James Peterson intiallly called to tell me that I won the Publishing Clearing House of 2.5 million dollars. He told me to write down the following:

Confirmation Code 232373, Some digits of the check they are going to issue me-067006076, telling me I would need two photo ID's and that they would be arriving withing 1 hour and 45 mins. He also told me that I would be receiving $7,000 per month forever and a 2019 Mercedes Car. One year of insurance paid for with the insurere Geico and a 6 month gas card to be used in the state of Wisconsin. He gave me the following confirmation code of 331018012021US. He then asked me if there was a Wells Fargo Bank, an American Bank or some other bank near me so that I could be registered with the FDIC. None of those banks were located near me. I did give him the name of my Bank which I stated was registered with the FDIC. In any event they requested that I go to a Dollar General Store and get two Visa Vanilla Gift Cards that totaled $985.00 to pay for my 2% of the taxes that I would owe the government.They would pay for 98% of the taxes owed the government. They asked me to stay on my cell phone the whole time I drove and returned home. They then askedf for the numbers on the card. I only gave them one of the card numbers with the expiration date and CVS number on the back. While they were doing whatever - I promptly called the card companys customer service from my land line and cancelled the card and they are going to issue me a new one. The number that showed up on my cell phone was listed as a private number. I hung up on them and they keep trying to call me. I wasn't out any money. I had a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach. They kept assuring me it wasn't a scam but I can see by this website it was a scam. They told me that seven people would be showing up in 1 hour and 45 min along with two lawyers from Jacobee an Meyers. I am still waiting!

Received a call from Jordan Bellford saying I won 6.5 Million dollars, a 2019 Mercedes Binz and will received $5000 mth. Gave me all of this info to write down and that 7 individuals and an attorney will be delivering my money this afternoon. He said that I needed to go to Wal-mart and get a registration receipt for $120 and call him back to give him the information from the receipt before they would meet me at my home.

I received a call from a Mr. Carlos Brown stating that he was a general manager for the Publisher's Clearing House. He stated that I won 50 million dollars but 99% of my taxes were paid for so I only will receive 11.5 million dollars in a certified check lotto ticket, and won three cars. The three cars were Mercedes-Benz 2019 S36, BMW 2019 X6, and a Range Rover 2019 0 8 3 with all leather interior. The telephone number is 1-876-389-4013. He stated that I am the beneficiary of the package. He stated that I needed to get them a receipt with Western Union to equal $300 and include my ID. The address to use at Western Union was JAMAICA w. I. He also stated Mr Alex Louis is the name I should make the MoneyGram out to. He stated that they would deliver the check at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15th 2019. I asked to let me know know what my address was. He could not tell me. Then asked me to calm down. But I was not yelling. I calmly just wanted to know if he knew my address. I confirmed the date and he repeated it. He also stated that Mr John Richmond is the general manager also. He wanted me-if I wanted- to give them a money order for $300 instead then I hung up.

I received a phone call today from Publisher's Clearinghouse. A man, with a Jamaican accent, said his name was David Esteban. He said I had won $5 million dollars and a Mercedes Benz. He gave me a package number and claim number. He was going to deposit the money in my account today. He said people in Gambier would be coming to my house. He asked me to go to Walmart and buy a $300 Amazon gift card. Then his men would come pick up the card, and give me a check and escort me to the bank. He said he was a very Godly man, and that my prayers had been answered. He said friends would take advantage of me if they knew I had won $5 million dollars so to keep it confidential. He kept saying, "I know you want to cry, so just let it out, let it out". He asked me if I wanted to be on radio or television or keep it confidential. I told him I could get to Walmart in the next three hours, and he responded that I needed to get there now. So, I told him I would call him back when I get the card.
