I was a fool and filled out the pre-approval with my info. But you know what, I have had identity theft since my youngest was 2 and he is 29. I am so tired of all of this and these creditors that give credit to the scammers before they grant it to the real person. I feel these companies get what they deserve for hiring OOC in the first place. They give our information overseas and then expect these 3rd world countries not to take advantage of the richest nation in the world? Come on now! I don't even feel like a real person anymore!

Got email with denial of a credit card I didn't apply for. For milestone credit. Looked official. Not typical fake info and incorrect English. I didn't even bother calling as I froze my credit the day some fishy Indian men called and told me my real social security number along with every other correct info piece on me, trying to make me feel ok that they were legit. I mean who the heck reads you your social security number?! They were calling from a caller ID that said bank of America, I have an acct with them and they said someone was opening a card in Orlando and I am in ne USA. I said oh well let them open it, byesies and I am reporting you to fbi you are scammers. The 2nd guy did his best to pretend he was "American" by having a fake name like John Smith and told me he was enjoying his coffee. Meanwhile he is really in a sweat shop with a monkey on his desk who swiped his one pen, and the boss will be pissed! And there is no beverage he is enjoying. His life is miserable, but they got my info off dark web and hope they screw me over more. I hope this made someone laugh. Don't be dumb hang up and call number on the back of your credit card and better yet, never answer a number you don't know or aren't expecting as they spoof local numbers too. Shortly after I got a professional email from indigo with denail..I called and similar it immediately asked me to punch in my full social sec number omg please. I hung up. Be careful.

Credit card denial for Destiny Mastercard

I received a letter in the mail stating I was denied for a credit card I didn't apply for. So I placed a fraud alert on my credit profile in fear someone hacked my information. When I called the number on the letter it stated press 1 for English. Then immediately asked me for my full social security number. I kept hitting 0 followed by a #. Then a automated message said that the number I called was a debt collector. I owe any debt.
This gives an whole new meaning to fruad.fraud. I covered my personal information in the attached letter

Just had the same thing happen. When the customer rep got on the phone …. She asked for my ss# then said “Let me guess you don’t trust me”. Yup. Giving you nothing. Don’t call folks.

I actually received an email telling me my application was denied. I never applied for the Indigo MC from Celtic Bank. Today I received a letter. I called and was told unless I verified personal information they couldn't help. Refused.
