June 1: phone call saying I'd won

June 2: telling me not to tell anyone and that I should contact him every day

June 3: emailed me an 8-page list of rules and what I have to pay (and that I must pay first then I get the prize)

Some of his information I found in the FTC and ScamPulse.com information word for word. Some poor English and word syntax.

Said I won PCH 2nd prize 950000 but I would have to get a Money starch Card from Walgreens to give to them when they presented the check for monthly payment because the IRS reguired registration fees for anyone who won over 10000 They paid 90% of fees

Caller stated they were from Publishers Clearing House and that the person won $10 Million dollars and needed to send in $3000 for tax purposes. Client stated he was contacted mulitiple times.

Recieved phone call from "Mark Mase"?? Has voice tone from India. Tells me that "Congratulations, you have just won the 2nd prize from Publishers clearing house in the amount of $850,000, and a new Mercedes-Benz , how does that make you feel?" I told him this is a scam and hung up.

I received a letter saying I won 2.5 million dollars with a check for $9,850.00 with a contact phone number of 1-365-336-1407 and a security code PCH-55-77-09 7-WIN. It looks legit but after checking the information on the check I found it was a scam.

Stated his name is Andrew Goldberg and that he has my home info and personal pictures that he has put somewhere to go viral and ruin my life. Wants to see how much money I have and keeps threatening. His profile says he’s 19 but the message he sent me says he is underage. Have never met him in person.

Just got a phishing text from this number saying, "Could you kindly remind me who this is?" I don't know this person of course. Probably just fishing for information to connect the dots. I see a lot of people on here saying that it's a publishers clearing house scam. I do wonder if they got a text prior to receiving the secondary scam where the sender of the text obtained their first and last names and possibly more information from sending that initial text message.

The person used name Taylor and gave me a confirmation number that was publishers clearing House 66 41-00779 as a confirmation number to a 2.5 million dollar and said I was third prize winner and I would be receiving $5,000 today along with a Ford bronco and wanted to know what institution that I was with and that they said that they were Bank of America and that I would would be receiving a check in 25 minutes and gave me a phone number to call them back a 696-772-0635 and told me to call them back in 25 minutes that they would I should have $5,000 in my bank account and I completely hung up on them

Susan Williamson left a message. Said she was from PCH and I was selected for the monthly trivia and had an unclaimed package, gave me the number of the package and said to call her if I hadn’t received it. I did not receive any package. I did not call her back. Figured it was a scam.

I received a call yesterday stating I won $6.5m. They wanted me to go to Dollar General, Walmart or CVS and get a gift card for $500 for state registration fee. Code # BLA250. The person who contacted me was David Anderson. He said they would deliver the car tomorrow morning. I told him I was going to call the ScamPulse.com and he said go ahead. I hung up.

Two people called, stating I was the big winner. I had to pay taxes on the winnings and I had won 34.5 million, a Mercedes and it went from $8,000.00 to $10,000.00 dollars weekly till my end of life. I told them I didn’t have that kind of money. They were very adamant that I told no one. Of course I told my brother & called my tax person. As what I thought, they were scammers, but now they want to pay off my credit card and pay with that. I am really lost! I told them no! So hopefully they/he don’t call back!

On the Initial Call:

The caller identified himself a "George ********* with PCH (initially) stating I had won the 3rd place prize of $9.3 million dollars, I would receive $300,000 dollars in cash, and a 2025 GMC Sierra. "George", then sent 7 stock showroom photos of a truck and scheduled a delivery date and time in about 4 days from the date of the call and provided a an 11-character Prize Claim Number. George told me I need to provide a state Driver's License, Birth Certificate, and a "Claimer's Card obtained from *******" to receive the prizes when they were delivered. "Geroge" also provided a 10-digit "security code" to unlock the briefcase that would contain the $300,000 dollars.

"George" call three more times:

Each time "George" attempted to be "more friendly" to "establish trust" and collect more personal information like my age, do I own or rent, am I married, how many children do I have, etc. "Geroge" then claimed the prizes were now from winning "Powerball International", the "Claimer's Card" became a "Claimer's Stamp from the BBB". The Claimer's stamp was to be obtained by sending money to the ScamPulse.com office in Jamaca Queen, NY to the attention of "Patrick *****" via a *******-to-******* ******* ***** money transfer. The "Claimer's Stamp" was now for the IRS Agents that would be present to stamp the $9.3 million dollar check so that it would be accepted by my bank as legal.

I was told I want to publishers clearing House 5 million but I had to go get a Apple gift card in the amount of $500 and message them with the information on the gift card at that time I knew it was a scam. I told him I reported them and they messaged me back saying that the IRS knew all about this

A letter was recieved, signed by Richie Jenkins, CFO. A check issued for $9,850.10 was issued from Wells Fargo Bank was included. Claims manager # was 289 830 2491. Jessica Brown answered stating she would be our claim manager. The check was to cover insurance and attorney fees. She instructed to deposit the check and call back. No personal information was asked for. Upon calling back, she instructed to withdraw $4,000 and call back for instructions where to bring the money for "insurance ". This is when we called BBB. Thank you for your assistance.

I received a phone call that stated we were being recorded and that I had won 2.5 million dollars to be given to me in $7000 weekly payments. I had to verify my address and age then was told that I had to purchase a registration card. I said I did not understand what that was. The man called himself Joe Goodman, and said I had to go to Walgreens and purchase a $200 dollar Amazon gift card. When I fought with him about that, he said "You have a good day ma'am" then hung up.
