- Cleveland, OH, USA • Feb 07, 2024

I received a voicemail from someone claiming to be from Publishers Clearing House saying that I had won. They left me a number to call back to speak to someone. They didn't leave any other information.

- Twinsburg, OH, USA • Feb 06, 2024

Caller stated I had won $2,800,000 and $7,000 weekly and a Mercedes Benz automobile. The paperwork they sent me had some glaring errors on it. It had a copy of a check from Bank of America with routing and account numbers on it. It also asked for me to advance $20,000 to circumvent the FDIC insurance limit of $250,000. Along with that there were other obvious typographical errors in the paperwork they sent. One was using a % instead of a $ sign. Calling 10,000,000,000 as ten million.

Received a call from Jordan Fisher who said he was with Publishers Clearing House on 2/6/2024. He called from 1-516-914-1047. He asked if I had read my notification letters from Publishers Clearing House recently. I told him I had not. He kept telling me that this call was not for solicitation purposes. He stated that I had won an award from the Publisher’s Clearing House and proceeded to tell me what I had won: a blue certified check made payable to me in the amount of $958,000, $5,000 a week until I died from the Visa Department and a 2024 Cherry Red Ford Bronco with black interior. (There were 3 choices of exterior and interior colors to choose from: exterior was Cherry Red, Midnight Blue or Black. Interior was Tan, Beige or Black). He gave me his ID number (5602JF); the JF is for Jordan Fisher. He spelled his last name for me. He asked me to write down all the information he was giving me. He told me that a team from Point Pleasant WV would be bringing my winnings. He asked me to write down the address for Publishers Clearing House in New York. The address he gave me was: 101 Winner Circle, Jericho, NY 11752. He asked if anyone was home to share the surprise with; I told him my husband was almost home. He asked me to not say anything to my husband until the team showed up. He also asked me my age. He called me by my previous last name. I told him that I had remarried but he did not ask what my new name was. He said they understood that that happens. He did give my mailing address to me. Then he asked how I would respond to this prize when the team showed up. I told him I was excited and wanted to jump up and down screaming and happy. He then asked if I thought this was a joke and I told him no I did not. He said I’m canceling this because you are not taking it seriously. I told him I was. He said will you go meet the delivery team. I told him that he did not give me directions on where to do that. He disconnected the call. I tried calling the number back. That same voice answered via an answering machine. It stated good day Stanley Jones. If you’re calling leave a message.

I received a voice mail last week stating they were the Publishers Clearing House and I won $7,000 a week. When I returned the phone call asking for the claim department, they transferred me to another gentleman that I couldn't understand and they wanted me to open up a new bank account at my current bank so they could transfer the money to the account. The also wanted me to go to Dollar General and purchase 2 green cards at $800 a piece. He hung because I told him I didn't have that kind of money.

Scammer wrote me a a signed letter by Deborah Holland, Executive Vice President of Publisher's Clearing House:. That letter stated that I won $750,000.. The scammers also included a check issued to me for $7,900.25 to (cover the taxes, handling and processing fees of the amount won. The letter explained that this was confidential and that I needed to cal lMr. Jerry Price for the method of payment at one of these numbers: 1-718-696-7762 or 1-516-600-0056. The letter stated that because this was from an Internatonal Prmotions/Prize Award Dept., I would need to pay my international Sweepstakes by law: taxes, handling and processing fees.

When I called the real Publishers Clearing House, they replied that the check that I received and the information was a scam.

They gave me a "name" of John Carter and a winning number and a Lawyer's name of Miss Mary Allen. who would be receiving a check from me to pay the taxes (allegedly) of $3500. My mother received a call from someone claiming to be Publishers Clearing House. They told her she won $2.5 million plus $7000 a week for life. They said she had to pay $4722.18 in taxes to receive my money. They said they paid 99% of the taxes for her because she is a senior citizen. I called them back and they gave me confirmation codes and verification codes as well as a code they claimed was for their information with BBB. They gave me bank info to call and verify the funds were in the bank, they gave a Chase bank account and it said there was $4 million in the account. It wasn't in a Publishers Clearing House account it's in a Treasury Department account as unclaimed funds.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with Publisher's Clearing House. They had me write down a bunch of information: Michael Blue, badge #070, prize #235373 and that I was the US certified winner. They were going to give me a cashier's check from Bank of America for $2,580,000 and a 2024 navy blue Ford Explorer black interior with blue stitching. He gave me a private/confidential number 015682WD1X but didn't say what it was for. He also gave me names of the "Prize Patrol Team": Andy Goldberg, Deborah Allen, Dave Sayers. He said that the Prize Patrol Team would visit me with a sheriff's deputy to deliver the prize. Then he asked if I could come up with the first payment of $850 to receive my prize, and I figured it was a scam.

- Granger, IN, USA • Jan 05, 2024

Contacted by phone that I was the 2nd place winner of $4.5 Million and a Mercedes SUV. Gave me contact number, a code word, and after several calls forwarded information to me with a form to fill out which included asking for my SSN#. Multiple calls. when I said I would to have my attorney and my accountant look at the paper work, he immediately said "Oh no, we must keep this confidential. I needed to talk to a manager. Interestingly, the title for the gentleman I was talking to had a title of Vice President but I need to talk to a manager. Two other red flags were (1) his use of terms that are common to foreigners such as calling me Miss ***** and other idiom type words and (2) some odd wording in the documents they sent.

I was contacted saying I had won 3.5 million and a new Mercedes car. Asked if I had received a claim letter in the mail. I replied no. Caller was Greg Grey 516-919-6667 and badge # B009.

Greg asked that I look in the mailbox today and then reach back out to him.

I did not volunteer any information to him. I never even registered to win anything. For sure a scam
