The man calling had an accent and said hello, do you remember responding to publishers clearing house? Reluctantly I answered yes, my husband did, he proceeded to say you won a prize and will you be home today to receive it, I played along, he said to get a pen and paper and write down these instructions, I then hung up! Figured it was a scammer. He tried calling back, went to my answering service, he hung up, a total of three calls. We have a block on phone for unwanted calls, he somehow got around that! Needs to stop!

Received a phone call from Larry Cooper. Indicated he was from Publishers ClearingHouse and I was being awarded 6.5 million dollars. All I had to do was go to the post office and send a money order to Donna House @ 212 1st St E, Goodrich, ND 58444. This was for the fees to process and then they would appear at my house with a cashiers check and a 2024 Mercedes-Benz. He told me the IRS and the FBI were in on the recorded conversation. Told him I didn't have the $999 and they could take it out of my prize money. :-) He wanted to know if he could get a sponsor to pay for part could I come up with some of the money. He then asked me to hold and in the background I could hear him say, "Tell Spencer I'll be right there." Then he said he had to go and would call me back in half and hour.

I was contacted by Michael Anderson, claiming that he was an employee for publisher clearing house and tried to get me to do a pyramid scam of buying five $500 vanilla card, Visa vanilla card at the store so that his people can come out to my house and I give them that card and then I ripped out that that was my claim to be received $500,000

My husband has been receiving calls on his cell phone from Publishers Clearing House. He won $450,000 and a car. They wanted his bank numbers. I stopped him from giving it out. They mailed him a check for $7800.35. He called the number on the mailing. Wanted him to deposit the check and call them. Phone number 914-412-8082. Told him not to take the letter to the bank. He did not deposit the check. The check was to help pay the the taxes on his prize winnings.

The person told me I won 7.5 million and car and 30k a month for life from Publishers Clearing House and ask for my Bank account information and wanted 50k or more and told me to calm down. That prize patrol was coming to my house today and not to get upset because it was legitimate that I had won.

I received a call from someone claiming to be Publishers Clearing House. They told me I won a 2023 Mercedes Benz and FedEx would deliver a check for $5 million. Caller excitedly told me I had won several million $ in Publishers Clearing House. Told him I didn't believe it and he tried to convince me it was real. "Are you home right now?" he asked, as if they were close to me. At some point asked what bank I used. I told him I wouldn't tell him that, and he continued "ok what is your bank?" Several times, I told him I wouldn't tell him, then he discontinued the call. I did not win several million dollars. Still waiting.

I received a vm from the number I mentioned stating the they were the publishers clearing house and I won a million dollars and a new mercedes. I was instructed to call that same number back to find out how to claim the prizes. Out of curiosity I decided to call back and when I did the man on the other end claimed again that he was from the PCH and that this was legitimate and not a scam and that I really won. He told me that all I would need to do was pay 1% of the taxes which was $900. I knew right then it was a scam because simple math shows one% of the taxes on a Mercedes and a million dollars is more than 900. I continued to play along as if I was believing him (believe me I wish it was true) He told me in order to receive the delivery of the check and car I would need to go to family dollar, or Walgreens and get two visa gift cards one for 500 and the other for 400 and to call back once I did that with the info. I asked him if I could give the info at the time of the delivery, he said no. I told him that I know ur a scam and I am not that stupid and would not be giving him the info ahead of time so that I would lose out on the money and he scammed. I told him I saw on the news about these gift card scams. He said that he would not force me to take the money and the car and asked me did I really think he would be calling to waste my time if it wasn’t legitimate? I said YES, and that if I was stupid enough to give him that info he would be getting $900 and it wouldn’t be a waste of his time. I then hung up

I answered a weird phone call on my cell phone yesterday I feel is a scam. She said she was from Publishers Clearing House. It showed unlisted private number. I won second prize. $750,000. I said I think this is a scam. I hung up. She called back. She said it is not a scam. I won $750,000. Again, I hung up. She called a third time. Publishers Clearing. She wanted me to talk to another agent. A man got on the line. I have two names of men I spoke with. I think it was Peter Jefferson and David Anderson. One of them said about winning the money. He asked where I did my banking. I told him Where I banked. I gave the name of the bank. Then he started asked me how I get around. I said I don't drive. My kinds take me. He wanted to know how many kids I have, I told him that was personal. None of his business. I said I don't believe this. Then he connected me with another man. The new guy said since you don't drive how soon could you get to your nearest post office. Al I would have to do is get there and bring two forms of identification to prove it was me. I said I still think this is a scam. I hung up. They did not call back. They never got my address. I have to answer my phone. It comes up private number. I have people that check on me.

I answered a call on my landline today from Publishers Clearing House. It was a man. Andrew Goldberg. He has been doing this twenty four years I think he said. I was on the phone with him about an hour. He was so sweet and kind. I do not have the phone number that called. I could tell this guy was good. He said I won $10 million for life and a Mercedes. He saif they would pay the $7200 taxes. I would have to pay $4800 for taxes. He would come and pick up the check. He wanted me to go to my bank. I told him I have a savings account I could take it. He told me to go to the bank and have a cashiers check made out to Betty White. He gave me routing number 2896047338RR That is Betty Whites routing number, He said I should take my check to Chase Bank at Kamms corners on Rocky River Dr. He told me to put on a red shirt. They will be here at my home at 3:00 today. They were going to drop off my car and other things. It sounded legit. But doesn't seem real. He said I hope this is a blessing to you. He said he is a Christian. He was so polite and convincing. He said it is a joy for him to do this. We have had other similar calls. He said he has three winners today to deliver to.

I got a phone call, they said they were calling me from the IRS. And said I won $8,000,000, the Ford truck they actually have on their website and $7,000 a week for life. The only problem is that they wanted me to pay the IRS the taxes $15,000. When I told him that the one thing I've learned is that when you win something you shouldn't have to pay anything to get your prize. I told him I didn't have a penny to my name. He told me he would give me the name of a company where I could take out a loan for the $15,000 and when I got the prize money I could pay the loan off.

- Cleveland, OH, USA

I received a mailing from Publishers Clearing House. I do not have their address. Mailing stated I won $150 million. There was a check enclosed. I called the phone number on the letter 929-695-2542. A recording came on to leave a message. I hung up without leaving a message. A man called me back. He asked if I was and said my name. I said yes. I started questioning him. Nobody gives away that kind of money. I know it is a scam.

We received a call yesterday on our cell phone from Publishers Clearing House. I answered the call. The call came from phone number 540-904-9139. Callers name was Frank Buck. He said I won $7.7 million. A new Mercedes and a Ford F150 truck. He wanted $999.99 upfront payment. He wanted me to buy a Vanilla Visa Card for $999.99. This was to legalize the transaction. Yesterday he wanted us to buy a $20 Vanilla Visa. We purchased the card at Walmart in Amherst OH.. We called him and read the numbers off the card and security code. Today he wanted a Vanilla Visa Card for $999.99. We did not buy another card. We told him we would go to our bank and get a certified check. He suggested the Vanilla card or for us to go to the Post Office. I realized it was a scam when he wanted $999.99. They were to come to our house last night but they did not come. We would call the police if they came. I felt funny about getting the $20 card.
