Publishers Clearing House(PCH) - Imposter Reports & Reviews (731)

I got a call from someone named Todd Sooane saying he was from Publishers Clearing House. I was told I had won $4.5 million and a 2023 Mercedes. They asked me for my routing number and the numbers on my bank card. I told them I wasn't comfortable with that. He told me we were on a recorded line so it was fine.

He called and said that I won 10.5 million dollars, a new Mercedes-Benz, and $2,500 a month for life. He told me to go to Walmart to get a Vanilla gift

card and have it activated for $200. They offered to come this afternoon and deliver my prize. He did have my address and my email address. I did not get a Vanilla gift card but did get information about him. He said his name was James Carter and I got his phone number which I put in this report.

His name - Todd Salome

Said I had won $4.5 million with Pub. Clearing House. Gave me Federal Reserve phone # 888-230-6370 and acct #80049763 to show that my money was in escrow. Then said that I would have to pay $47,559.00 in insurance fees, registration fee, and ACH fee. My concern is that he said he got my bank routing number and account number from the IRS (his words). Also my so isl security number. I am watching my account to make sure nothing is removed.

Guy called my mom from 631-651-0892 stating he is from PCH Publisher Clearing House and she was the top winner of $3.5 million Dollars and a 2023 Mercedes Benz C Class 350. He told her he did not want any information other then the bank name she uses and he reassured her of this not being a scam. She was to go down to a Fedex and gave her a confirmation number to print off some documents. I went to Fedex to get documents for my mom and I have attached them. I have tried to call him several times and will not answer but did call me back left no message, when I finally was able to get ahold of him he played very dumb and then blocked my number but every time my mom calls his number he will answer.

Someone from this same number has befriended my MIL and texts and calls her regularly. She thinks he is nice and legit. I am unsure if she has had any financial transactions with him. Says his name is Todd Sloane. I do not think he is Todd Sloane from PCH. I think he is scamming her. How do I prove to her he is scamming her?

Then you call the number he gives you another number and verifies your address and phone number then gives you a confirmation number then tells you to call the 304-510-8691 back . She then tells you , you have to do Registration for 200.00 dollars it would have to be wired. At this time I knew it was a scam

I answered the phone to a man representing PCH saying there was a FedEx truck 45 minutes from my home wanting to come a deliver me a certified check from Bank of America I told him I didn't know anything about it and was asked if I hadn't gotten a email, or call from the PPC. I said no. I was then told to go to the bank and sign up for receiving this check. Then I was told there was a PCH crew coming to give me my check. He kept giving me my address and wanted to know if I had ID. I asked if he had a number I could call back on and this is the number he gave me 332-333-1319 in New York, however he called from this number 850-726-9199 from Fountain FL and the name for this man was Andrew Goldberg.

I think I detected an accent but don't know what it was.

I told him I would call him later but I'm not.

The caller said his name was Rob Baker with Publishers Clearing House. He gave me a six digit number. 703259 PCH-OH. I gave him my age and address. He said I won $25 million. He wanted me to speak with his supervisor. He transferred me to Billy Mason. He gave me a phone number to call him back after 4:00 P.M. I called the number provided 775-659-9697 X37. He wanted to come to my home on January 18th. The state patrol would be with them. I told him I work until 4:00. I also called PCH directly. They told me not to call. It is a scam. They will ask for money.

I keep receiving calls from Publishers Clearing House. The number in my caller ID is 770-966-6321. He asked if I was ready to claim my prize. Tell me I won $250,000 and a Mercedes. He asks if I live near a Wal Mart or Walgreens Greens. He wanted me to buy a card for the taxes. I don't remember the name of the card. They normally tell me $500. Buy two cards and put $250 on each, I could provide the balance when I I receive my prize and Mercedes. I knew it was a scam and did not buy any cards. A man and woman have called. I could hear children in the background when the lady called. I have called before and reported this. I just hung up. I did not want to have a conversation.

I received a call on 12/14/2022 from a man claiming to be from Publishers Clearing House, telling me I had won $9.5 million, $5000 a week for life, and a 2023 S class Mercedes Benz. He said his name is Andrew Goldberg. He asked for $499 up front for insurance on the Mercedes so they could deliver it. He instructed me to go to the Post Office and get a money order and have it sent overnight to Robert Shoup, 730 W. 7 St, Shosone ID 83352. He also told me not to tell anyone. He told me to hang up and call him back so I would know it was legit. When I called the number back he answered it as Publishers Clearing House. I recognized his voice. He told me I would need to speak to a manager. The manager was not a different person. It was the same man named Andrew. He told me to send the money quickly so they could deliver the car. When I told him I wasn't going to send any money because I knew it was a scam and that I was just playing with him, he got mad and told me I could kiss his *** and hung up on me.
