- Reno, NV, USA

The consumer was contacted about 10 times by phone. The individuals used Publishers Clearing House as their business name and the individual names of Bob Huffman and Joe Jefferson. They used the phone numbers of 702-500-8149 and 718-690-9990. They told the consumer that she had won a 2024 Chevy Silverado pickup truck, $6.5M, $7000 a week. They stated that she would need to send $800 in a gift card in order to receive this. They stated the $800 to pay for the insurance to drive the truck over to the consumer. The consumer sent $25 in an apple gift card (sent a picture of it to the number). They advised the consumer to not tell anyone specifically because they did no want to ruin the surprise. The consumer stated that she did give the caller her address, but no other identifiable information (ssn etc). Then the consumer reached PCH who stated that that was not their business and they had not contacted the consumer.

- Colville, WA, USA

Received a letter supposedly from PCH. It mentioned she had won $750,000.00 due to her entering the sweepstakes; she has never entered. The letter had a check for $8700.27 attached (for insurance and attorney fees. She was to call Rob Goodman (1 236-668-0241 or 1 236-838-2185) within 5 business days, but prior to depositing the check. She was also told that she was to tell no one about receiving the letter.

I was contacted by phone by someone that said their name was David Thompson and his badge # 1840DT and that I had won $25,000,000.00 from the sweepstakes plus a 2024 GMC Denali and all I had to

do was stop & purchase a card @CVS, Walgreen's or WalMart so they could load some kind of immediate funds onto to it.. This person's # did not show up but I called *69 and got his number which is 876-472-1242, I knew this was a hoax as PCH would never call and this person kept insisting on calling me back to make sure I had the card for $500.00. He called me again this morning & was very angry that I had not

ansewered the phone last afternoon what he didn't know the # he called me on was my work #. Maybe ScamPulse.com can stop anyone from falling for this scam, my biggest concern is this person knows my name and my address. Hope this helps someone else and they don't fall for this fake.

I was contacted by a man who said he was from publishers Clearing House and he wanted to give me 2.5 million dollars. He told me it would be only $5.25 to go get a card from the dollar store and to put $500 on it I didn't understand the $500 and ask him about it and he he said well yes you have put $500 on there as well you don't I don't have $500 so anyway long and short I said no after we went through this lengthy him trying to make me feel comfortable and so on and so forth but that last part about getting a card going to get a card and putting $500 on it was kind of sketchy to me. I told I told him I didn't have $500 and he protested saying that I didn't want to win 2.5 million I said this just sounds too sketchy and took a long time to get rid of him but I finally did and then when he and then he called back he told me that the FBI would be here because I didn't believe they were Publishers Clearing House and that's the only reason I could understand.  I got a call from him afterwards and he was very adamant and that's when he told me about the FBI coming and he anyways he threatened that the FBI would be here and I said Bring It On send them over well anyway that's enough I guess.
