I needed a report on my car. Was supposed to cost $1.00. Noticed the same day an additional $5.00 was taken from my account. Didn’t want to make a big deal about $5.00. Then without me realizing it, they were taking $5.00 every 2 weeks. Then I saw today they were taking $20. I called my bank and reported them and a stop was put on any further withdrawals. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY PUBLIC RECORDS, THEY ARE SCAMMERS! Now they have my personal information.

Webite isn't clear and is confusing. You think you are paying for a report for one charge. The one report I purchased for 9.95 ended in 4 separate charges for an extra 17.00. Then it started a recurring charge for 9.95, 19 days later. Closing the account hopefully ends the charges.

I agreed to pay $1 for a pdf copy of a public report about a property assessment on my Grandmother's property. When I opened my bank account the next day, I had pending charges for $9.95 and a separate charge for $7 pending on my account that I did not approve. I called the help number for the company, and the person on the other end told me that according to their "terms and conditions", if I did not cancel my membership (I did not agree to sign up for an ongoing membership), I would continue to be charged for whatever unknown service they said that they provide. They did cancel the charges/refund me for the $16.95, but this has scam written all over it.

Called about charges of $5.00 and $1.00 on my credit card bill. When I called, they could tell me what I had paid for and could not access my account despite having my name and somehow able to put charges on my bill. Refused to cancel my account unless I provided the last eight numbers of my credit card which I refused to do.

My credit card provider, Elan Financial Services, agreed to block any future charges from public records.us.
