In purchasing a puppy from Vibrant Goldendoodles, I paid the breeder $1000 for the puppy which included the transport. The transport agency then said I needed an air conditioned crate $999, another message said I needed insurance $1000 then another said the puppy needed vaccinations, this time $999.99, which I didn’t send. They threatened to report me to authorities for pet abandonment. I stopped all communications

I did a transaction with Kathy Freeman, who used the names Diannette Colon, Shelly (573-569-9709 and Destiny Morgan, to buy a Persian Cat. [email protected], [email protected]. She told me money I spent for insurance is a refundable one and not required for every state but was required by Florida. Swift Drop Logistics supposedly was going send the kitty to me with a nanny, Shelly but no one could give me anything in writing that the insurance amount I paid or the money to rent an upgraded carrier would be refunded to me. I asked several times to have my money refunded but it was never refunded. Then they wanted me to open an account with bank called Royal Finas Group and my money would be refunded to me there. I paid $1,300.99 to them and $7,298 was deposited in that account and there doesn't seem to be a way for me to get any of the money out.

What is the scammer's website? Did you report the bank and bank account?

- Lakeland, FL, USA • May 14, 2025

Facebook ad for puppies. Person sent contract wanted to pay deposit. Sent email that Facebook was blocked and needed to contact via text. Claimed family emergency and would have to ship the dog. Then shippers tried to pay for the crate and insurance. $450 for the pet and $410 for shipping.

- Manhattan, IL, USA • May 14, 2025

Was scammed by “dog breeders”. Was supposed to deliver me a puppy that i never received. Was not supposed to pay any money upfront but was asked to send $100 for a crate and then another $200 from the shipping company because the crate didn’t fit their standards. Watch out for these puppy scammers!

The breeder, Fany Gardner running fakebook group for adoption/rehoming of cats and kittens, and dogs....I have records of her communications and fraud, and she was attempting to collect additional 600 from me. No kitten, no money back. Not registered state breeder with multiple threats of suspicious activity and fake profiles on online payment platforms. Please contact myself, [email protected] for more proof info. I would like to have her hold responsibility and recover my money asap. She uses the email [email protected] to fake pending shipping in process while requesting 600 additional deposit for it. No name, number to be real, no contact information.

We thought we were buying a puppy. We live in another state. Website seemed legit. They communicated mostly by email and text. Emailed us videos and pictures of the pup we thought we were getting. Stated puppies were discounted because breeder and his wife have other jobs and we’re expecting another litter and wanted to decrease their work load. Placed $500 deposit then went through signing contracts over email for sale of dog. Then paid remaining $500 and was told we were now the owners of the dog. We had used Apple pay for this. They claimed there was a new policy with Apple that prompts all transactions with a fraud warning and to proceed anyway. We were having pup sent from Oklahoma to Minnesota where we live. Pup was supposed to be flying here and going through a pet delivery service. They sent tracking info in the dog. But then the pet delivery company wanted $1555 for insurance and were told they would refund 97% of it after the dog was delivered. Thankfully, the payment kept getting declined. When they offered to go through PayPal instead of Apple Pay the email and name didn’t match up. They made excuses as to why that was the case. They also claimed the reason the payments weren’t going through was because their cashier got the Apple and PayPal accounts names mixed up. The email address for the breeder on the pet delivery company tracking email was different than the email the breeder lists in his breeder website. When we started getting suspicious of the pet delivery company we attempted to reach out to the breeder and didn’t hear back for 12 hours. We asked the pet delivery company to FaceTime us with the dog . He did not respond. Meanwhile, the pet delivery tried to entrap us by saying the flight was leaving soon. They claimed dog was on Southwest flight. According to southwest website, dogs can only be permitted with a ticketed passenger. They don’t fly pets in cargo. After texting that to the pet delivery company they never responded back. We attempted to text the breeder again. Asking for refund of $1000. Breeder claimed his wife had an accident and was in the ICU. Requested money back again.

Trying to buy a puppy from terrydachshundpuppies.com

- Boca Raton, FL, USA • Apr 17, 2025

Requested information on a dog I saw listed on their website EnchantedWeimeraners.com. Since I saw no identifiable business information on their website, I demanded a phone and business for them, which was provided. I validated the address and proceeded to start the process. The initial deposit requested was $350 and since they wanted it via Apple Pay or Cash App, I had to setup a new account with them. I sent them $200 dollars, the daily limit on a new account (which turned out to be a monthly upload limit). After attempts via Chime and Cash App, I decided to look into Oklahoma registered dog breeders, nothing. Enchanted Weimaraners, Nothing. I looked up their phone number ************ and found charmingweimaranerpuppies.com in a filed SCAM complaint. Both web sites are exactly the same.

- Cortlandt Manor, NY, USA • Apr 14, 2025

I wanted to buy a kitten from them so I filled out the form they have on their website. When they emailed me I saw several reg flags (grammar, etc). There is also NO phone # or address on their website which was another red flag. They wanted me to send them $600 and they would deliver the kitten to my house. Once I asked them for a phone number and full address of the business, they never responded.

I was looking for a puppy for my son. I ran across a website with puppies for a good deal. Emailed them and they contacted me thru text message. I paid $800 to have the puppy shipped and another $500 for the crate that the dog was supposed to have shipped. I have email and text messages to prove that not only was I not delivered the the and this was a fraud from the beginning.

- Dayton, OH, USA • Apr 07, 2025

I approached “Shelli” via her Facebook page to adopt a Maine c o o n kitten. The kitten was listed as in Dayton Ohio. She took 200$ from me as a down payment (not uncommon for this expensive breed) and then I signed a contract giving me ownership of the kitten. I provided all of my contact information so that she could register the kitten in my name. After signing the contract, I paid the additional $450. For a total of $650. After paying the adoption fee for the cat, she informed me that the cat was actually in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. She informed me that she would have the cat shipped to me, and the shipping email was very concerning. It did not have any personal information, had lots of spelling errors, and just overall looked like a scam. When I brought this up to her, she acted surprised. She offered to let me pick up the kitten instead. So I drove 334 miles or approximately 5 1/2 hours to pick up this kitten. At this point I still had 2 hrs to go when I received another message from her. This message informed me that she was stranded due to a flat tire, and asked me to send her another $200 to help her get home. At this point, I declined to give her any more money, she informed me that I couldn’t get the cat if she wasn’t home. I requested a refund. She informed me that she couldn’t get a refund because she had already spent the money. Please do not fall for her tricks.

I was initially contacted by Philips Filippe through TikTok, where we began discussing the purchase of a female pigtail monkey. He claimed to be a licensed dealer in Virginia with 22 years of experience in selling exotic animals. Although I was initially skeptical, a conversation with another individual suggested that if he were a legitimate dealer, he would provide his driver's license and dealer licenses, which he subsequently did. Philips Filippe assured me that he had all the necessary documentation. We agreed on a deal where I would pay $300 upfront, and he would deliver the monkey to my address, with the remaining $550 due upon delivery. However, after discussing shipping details, he requested an additional $500, and then abruptly ceased all communication, leaving me without the monkey and having lost my initial $300 payment.

They pose as a cattery selling adopted Balinese kittens and also have a scam for transportation and electronic carrier rental. All was very elaborate and fake.

Advertising 750 dollar puppies and will deliver to your house in any state. Asks for 750 dollars before they will deliver. Payment was asked through Apple Pay. The scammer then delays the delivery and you never get the dog.

I was looking online for Siamese breeders and came upon the website homeofsiamese.com. It looked like a great website but did not have location information. I was so excited to put a deposit down on a kitten that I made a deposit too fast without doing proper background research. The name of the person who contacted me was Daniel Liam and this happens to be the same first name as mentioned in another post on here for a similar but different websites. This place also mentioned how the cat could be shipped with a special courier for only $250 which also aligns with the same post on here for a similar website. They also sent me a long email with questions to answer as they wanted to make sure that my home would be a great fit for their kittens. I just filed a dispute with my bank but do not know if this work. If something is too good to be true it is! I should know this by now but I let my excitement overrule my common sense and trusting nature. I feel very stupid but hope this post will help others from making the same mistake.

They almost got me too, except under the name of Luxe Siamese, owned by Adam Trevor.

I was online looking for a Persian kitten. His website came up and I contacted him. He had a picture of a gorgeous blue-eyed kitten. I was excited but he proceeded to say he had amber eyes. I questioned the eye color and asked for a picture affirming the blue eyes with a note"blue eyes". He refused. I then looked up pet scams and found his information. Total scam! He should be prosecuted. Sweet innocent people looking for a beautiful companion kitty and he is stealing their money. I hope you can shut him down!

Most pet scammers are in Cameroon so it would be hard to prosecute them.

I met this person on a site called Puppies.com. I was interested in a long-haired Chihuahua named Luna. The person and I exchanged numbers. He/she told me the dog costs $300, and shipping to my closest airport would be $100, making the total $400.

For the first payment, I had a friend send $200 through Zelle on 3/6/25. We had an agreement that I would put a deposit on the dog, and she would not sell it to anyone else. I told her I would send the remaining $200 when I got home to my state so she could ship the dog to me.

We stayed in contact ever since. Last night, 3/13/25, I created an Apple Pay account because she said she accepts it. I connected my Cash App to Apple Pay and told her I was ready to send my last payment. I sent the payment twice to different numbers she gave me, but both times, it didn’t go through and was sent back to me. The third time, it went through because she gave me another number to try.

I then received a text message claiming to be from Apple Pay, stating that I would get a refund in 24 hours. The message literally said:

"Apple Pay: For your protection, your $195 payment to 13478946181 was returned to your bank account and will be available to you in the next 24 hours."

I have all the proof in our messages and would like to send them to you. I also sent a screenshot showing that the payment was delivered, but she kept claiming she never received it.

I called Apple Pay, and they told me they don’t send out text messages like that—it’s a scam. They confirmed that she accepted the payment and advised me to file a police report. I even recorded our call, so I have proof that the scammer received the payment. They also told me to contact Cash App to see if I could get my money back.

I contacted Cash App because I saw that the payment was still pending, and I was trying to cancel it before it was completed. Cash App told me to wait 2-3 days for it to complete and then dispute it, which is frustrating because I don’t deserve to be scammed. I work very hard for my money.
