The scammer offered me a 14 month old Havanese puppy when I requested information from her website on Facebook. She sent several pictures of the puppy, a certificate of transfer of ownership, all through Facebook messenger. I paid her vet (through Zelle) to have the puppy spayed and microchipped. I paid (Zelle) to have the puppy groomed. I made a deposit for half of the fee for the puppy also through Zelle, all equaling $960. Originally she was going tomcharge me $185 tomdeliver the puppy to me, but then came up with a story that her daughter go to the hospital so she could no longer deliver her to me and would be using a courier service. I said OK and when the courier service supposedly had puppy, they were going to charge me $1100 for a crate rental because the breeder had not provided a proper airplane crate. They said I would get a refund right away and the puppy be here within three hours. I hesitated but was so excited to get the puppy that I Zell them $1100. Then 15 minutes later the freight company said they needed $300 and of course I would get it refunded the minute the puppy was delivered.. Did not agree to pay $2300 and I never got the puppy of course.

This company worked with conjunction to a puppy company saying we needed to use them to ship the dog after we already paid for everything. We just filed for the puppy company and that name is called Diamond Doberman Homes.com

They said we need to pay 2300.00 for shipping the puppy because the crate the dog was put in was a wire crate and wouldn't be suitable for transportation. Then they said we need to pay a deposit in weird ways, like a Walmart Gift Cards, Western Union or PayPal friends and family. We already lost 904.00 to the dog company. So no way we were going to pay this company a fee. They also have a website set up that looks professional and someone will pick up the phone, but again, person doesn't sound professional and just getting the same ways to pay. I called the Airlines over in MD and they said they never have heard of the company before and unfortunately this happens all the time.

The website looked legit and the emails were professional and detailed. They asked for my name, address, and phone number as part of the "sale" and even had a complete contract. Everything seemed to be legitimate. But after sending the money they stopped contacting me

The person contacted me true email everthing looked really until the person give me multiple PayPal emails to send him money. The money was send. The next the dog was on the air port and I’m getting a call 45 m before the flight about that I need to buy a special cage for the dog with air conditioners for 2000 dollars ( that I was not informed about at all that something that I would need to pay to transport the dog to me) and I almost pay that 2000 dollars but good for my credit card and my bank that they didn’t let that happened. But that doesn’t change the fact that i paid $900 dollars for the dog.

Love Lead Labradors is offering puppies on Facebook and requesting 50% deposit on zelle beforehand. Breeder stating puppies are not available until the following week. Breeder would not give me any personal information, until I requested a contract. The contract was sent via email which has the Breeders name as Demia Sorrell. I searched the Breeders name on Google and found a post on the BBB. I decided then not to proceed with the electronic deposit of $450.00. They are asking $900 per puppy Labrador.

Online puppy vender for Rottweiler puppies. Paid for the dog through Zelle. Vendor claimed to have dropped off the dog though a dog service (leaders pet LLC). Now pet service called stating I needed to purchase a hyperthermic crate to transport the dog. Once I paid that they said I needed to pay vaccines at the airport. Now this wasn’t adding up So I called the airlines and they have no pets in their possession. The reason how they got so many payments for me is because they promised some funds will be refundable once dog is in my possession. All this happened within a 4day time span. They sent pics of the dog, the crate, vaccine paper work everything looked legit. But it was all fake.

Buying a Bordercollie puppy from Anita Cornly the admin of the Facebook group “Bordercollie puppies for adoption” we sent 600 dollars to 847-738-4031 Kevin Azpeytia “her partner”. Then we got an email from “[email protected]” asking for $500 for shipping insurance.

We realized it was a scam at this point.

I have been looking for a mini dachshund, found this site and since they had been in “business “ since 2017 as a family business I felt ok. They said they’d meet me 1/2 way and convinced me to put deposit down stating they wouldn’t risk their business. I reluctantly sent money thru Zelle of $150. We were to meet on Sunday, the 18th of February at a Walmart Parking Lot in Parker, AZ. I arrived at the time specified with my husband and messaged them describing our car. They advised me I had to pay an additional $100 for the AKC paperwork so the could print it out and bring the pup, i tried to verify the information but everything was red flagging, for one the AKC info was incorrect and they provided 2 different names of people and a phone number that we couldn’t verify, I refused and said I’d pay once the puppy was there. They never showed up, we left. I have copies of our messages.

The scammer claimed to be a breeder and having done this for years. It all seemed so real. The website seemed so well made and ligit. When I was put in touch via email with the company after filling out an inquiry about a specific listed puppy, the emails with the “breeder” were unprofessional and too quick for responding to be honest. The person quickly responded via email at all times and was quick to anger if you were hesitating or did something unexpected. He told me I could pay via Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, or Apple Pay for the puppy. I made the mistake and paid. The next thing I knew he called me and he sounded like he was foreign. Nothing like the image you get of the breeder when you view the website details. I could hardly understand what he was saying but he was angry I paid on PayPal instead of Zelle. He had given me information for payment via Zelle but I chose to pay on PayPal with the same name he gave me and he got so angry and unprofessional over email. He was calling me and I couldn’t understand him but he kept asking me to make another payment to the Zelle instead and cancel the PayPal payment even though it could not be canceled. I told him how I thought this whole thing was a scam because he kept going on about Zelle and how there is a different payment method set up for each platform to ensure he knew what client was making what payments. It did not make sense and I refused to pay any further. Then, he emailed me and said he figured it out and had called PayPal to fix the issue and that he was going to ship the puppy to me literally the next day and all emails had tracking info and seemed ligit in a way. He said I needed to pay the pet shipping agency for a better crate and then the pet shipping agency was named “pet direct,” and they apparently tried calling me all day which was false and had been emailing me and needed urgent response in order to ship the puppy in the correct crate but that the money will be refundable later.. When “Pet Direct” contact me it was the same voice and the same accent talking to me with a different phone number that was listed under the state of PA this time instead of Texas.. I knew then, that for sure this entire thing was a giant scam. I should not be paying even more for a crate that would somehow be fully refundable. I noticed the email was listed as pet-express.com for the pet relocation agency and how they misspelled express. I also called the actual pet express agency and they are currently closed and sound Australian. This whole thing is sad and I can’t believe I fell for it and paid $950 to someone who would do this…

Good morning, I would like to report a puppy scam. I found the ad on puppies.com. The dog was listed as a 2 year old AKC Toy Poodle (bred) her name is Ophelia. The ad included pictures of her genetic testing results.

The name of the kennel is Aphrodite Poodles in Fayetteville Arkansas. The breeders are John and Grace Howard. (Supposedly)

“Grace” informed me that she had another dog going to Massachusetts and her transporter could also bring Ophelia to me for $350.

I asked her a lot of questions, I asked her for pictures, and I researched the kennel. Aphrodite poodles was listed on the AKC marketplace, and gooddogs.com. I believed this to give legitimacy to the breeder.

I sent 2 payments of $500. Each to their PayPal account.

Unfortunately I used the friends and family option per the breeders request.

She told me that the pup left with the transporter Sunday February 11th at 10 am. She stated that the transporters name was Elysia and she had used her several times before and she was excellent with the dogs. She stated that she gave Elysia my phone number and that she would be contacting me after she got a few miles on the road. As of Monday night I had not heard anything from Elysia, so I contacted the breeder and reported this and asked her where Elysia was. The breeder has not responded.

“Elysia” texted me at 5:30 am Tuesday morning saying they were in a hotel room, waiting out the weather. By now I was getting suspicious, so I asked her for a video of Ophelia in the hotel room. After several hours, she texted to say the weather wasn’t as bad as she had feared and they had gotten back on the road an hour ago. She said she would send a picture of Ophelia at their next potty break. I have not heard anything from her since and I never received that picture.

The ads and listings for Aphrodite poodles are now all deleted.

The information I have is:

Aphrodite poodles-Fayetteville Arkansas

John and Grace Howard

[email protected]

(918) 840-7984

Elysia’s phone number is (913) 318-6780

I will include pictures she sent me and screenshots of correspondence.

Thank you for looking into this, they need to be stopped before they steal more money from innocent people who just love dogs!

I found this website online and looked up information. Read reviews, checked on transportation methods etc. Everything looked good to me so I used the contact page to reach out regarding a male english bulldog puppy.

I was contacted via email and then text message. Thos was in January. All communication continued via text except for paperwork for puppy which was through email

I have paid More then what i was told and despite the sender/owner guaranteeing no further payments needed, when the shipping company was set up, this was a differnt story. Despite having paid for a crate and documents. Which i expected i guess, i habe been asled to pay for a CITES permit. When that was paid, i was asked to pay for a specific ventilation crate. This i refused as it is ludacris and I believe even more that this will not end and I will continue to be asked.for Ludacris things to pay for.

The shipping company is Fast Cargoline Logistics and I will report them as well

Ask if i got card, I said no, they wouldn't sell it to me. Told him he will have to take the cash, He said he don't want cash, He has to send it to his son. So, i told him to take cash and go get the card his self, He would not do it. I said if you don't take the cash, then it's a scam. So, he and i was going home. He then said OK. Also, He told me when he printed adoption agreement that if i was to change my mind, the 250 would be refunded. I ask him about that, He then said i drove here from Arizona, do you think that's fair? I was researching for purchasing a dachshund and found this website (BeverlyDoxie.com), which seemed legit. I sent an inquiry message and received a response via text message. She asked questions, which I answered and then she asked for payment. She didn't accept credit cards, she accepted apple cash. I paid her $1,050.00 using apple cash. She said that she will ship and deliver the puppy to my house and that the puppy would be accompanied by a nanny. I asked for a copy of my contract multiple times, she said that she would get that to me but she failed to do that too. Then I received an email message from Brock Star Relocation Service which gave me a tracking number (EH16581). They did not provide what flight number or which airline that they used. According to the Brock Star Relocation Service tracking number, the puppy left San Diego, CA at 11:00 am and had a 1 hour layover in Chicago, IL. It was scheduled to arrive at the Harrisburg International Airport at 9:09 pm. I waited for the puppy to arrive at my house, which she never did arrive. I've texted the breeder many times after I didn't receive the puppy and got no response. I also left 2 messages with the phone number that is on their website with no return call. I contacted the Harrisburg Airport police and they confirmed that they did not receive any abandoned dogs. The puppy was supposed to arrive on the evening of 2/14/24. As of today, 2/16/24, I have not received her nor did I get a phone call from either the breeder or the shipper regarding the status of the puppy. When I go the the breeders website, the puppy that I purchased is still showing as "available". And when I go to the Brock Star website to track the puppy, it just says preparing for delivery. No one has called or sent me any messages since.
