I wish I’d seen this sooner as the identical scam was Hardy listed on your site. A woman who claimed to own a large rehoming for goldendoodles on Facebook. Maddie Smith kept posting dogs for rehoming made it seem very convincing. I only wish I had done more homework off of Facebook first I did even contact some of her references, but I believe they are all Robotic responses and when I went back and confronted, I was completely shut out of the Facebook and messenger.

Cabela's French Bulldogs sold me a puppy at full price without disclosing it had a serious health defect. They sold me a puppy with a large umbilical hernia. I was so surprised to see the size of the hernia and shocked he hadn't said anything ahead of time. I talked to Alex- the owner of Cabela's French Bulldogs immediately and then took the puppy to the veterinarian. The vet said the puppy was in danger of it's intestine becoming trapped in the hernia and it would need surgery to prevent this life-threatening condition. The estimated cost was $500-$1000. I reached out to Alex at Cabela's French Bulldogs to say he should have disclosed the need for surgery ahead of time and I requested a $200 reimbursement toward the umbilical hernia surgery. Alex declined to compensate.

Alex and Kathia Estrada sold me a puppy with an expensive medical need without disclosing it ahead of time. They were dishonest and not forthcoming with the health of the puppy. They offer no health guarantee which is standard with responsible puppy breeders.

Found this page on Google. They sent a link for a payment through payoneer the payment did not go through so they asked if cashapp would work. We payed the 1100 for the puppy. Once it was payed we received an email from a company called tailwag transport a man named Chris Smith. Stating we needed to pay a refundable $940 insurance for shipping the puppy. We found another bbb article on that company. We reached out to the real breeder and was informed they have been trying to get this site taken down as it is a scam.

I inquired about a puppy and filled out an application. at 3:40 am a text came asking for the money. I woke up and inquired why they are texting in the middle of the night and if they are in a different country (I am in CA in the same time zone) and they were a bit impolite and said it's because they are getting puppies ready to ship. I asked for more information about their location and they said "Washington" and then sent me the website link. I asked for pictures of the parents and more pictures of the puppy as well as his current weight but got no response.

Purchased a puppy on line with a$100 deposit. Was supposed to deliver went thru a delivery agency. The delivery agency was charging $250 delivery charge. Scammer said it was normal to take out of the $300 balance i owed her. They wanted another gift card before the delivery i told i wasnt gonna pay another dime until i received the puppy perdonally. I received another email supposedly from pet controle with a report. I think its all working together to scam people.

We purchased a puppy from a website (https://chariotbordercollies.com) we had confirmation that there was a puppy, received several videos and photos, the woman even called us. It felt legit until the shuttle service text us a tracking number for their website (sterlingpetshuttle.com) all seemed fine, then they text and emailed us a “new” policy that we had to transfer $1000.00 in a refundable travel pet insurance. We thought “weird, but okay since shipping is expensive”, however they said if we didn’t pay it then we wouldn’t get the dog. We felt this was strange since they weren’t the sellers they were only the tracking company. We asked the airline that the dog was on they said American Airlines. When I asked for the airline number they said they don’t give that out. So we called American Airlines and spoke to Jose from the cargo shipping department and he said they never ship an animal without providing an Airway Bill Number that starts with 001. We text the company back for the number and they never responded again. We text the seller Alexis Duhart, no reply. So now we are out $900 and could have been more if we didn’t have a feeling that it was a scam. The good was for PayPal and Apple Pay security!

Selling pit bull puppies but using pictures and information obtained on the Internet from other professional breeders and misrepresenting them as their own

- Phoenix, AZ, USA • Apr 12, 2025

Visited the website for Short Leg Society to view miniature dachshund puppies and sent an inquiry via their website using my full name, email, and cell number. I received a text with five reasonable questions about adopting. It seemed legitimate so I signed the contract, which was fairly short, and sent $100 via Zelle and $500 via Cash App. I stopped once I was warned about puppy scams and cancelled the next pending Zelle payment. The seller seemed reasonable and legitimate until they rushed the delivery. Received a text this morning that he was driving the puppy to the Brock Star Delivery Service and wanted to know if I was sending the remaining payment. I asked for a picture of the puppy and flight nanny but the next text was that he had already left. I asked more specific questions and then stopped hearing from him. Buyer beware! Possible names are Deanna Brown, Deanna Rown, Jermel, [email protected], $bornjungle588.

I was involved in a puppy scam that pretended to use Brock Star Relocation Service - San Diego branch to send the puppywith a flight nanny. I received an email with information on the delivery, basic flight information but I was already suspicious of the "breeder" and had stopped payment and never received any more calls, texts, or emails although they said I would receive flight updates. I doubt I'll hear from them now. I did Google "Brock Star Relocation Service" and learned that it is highly suspicious for spam.

Saw this adorable puppy on Facebook.. Called the number, a guy answered, and he sounded convincing and knowledgeable about the puppy. No detectable foreign accent. We agreed to his price, including air shipment. We told him we would do PayPal, he said he did not have a PayPal account. We told him how to get a PayPal account, and shortly thereafter we received a request for $700.00 from PayPal.. It all looked legitimate, so we sent the $700,00.. Thats the last we heard from the guy.. No shipping information followed.. No response to phone calls, texts or emails.. I thought I was pretty aware of scammers, but this guy fooled me..

I was scammed by Phoenix Travels Logistics for a total of $4,308.00 for transporting two chow chow puppies from Phoenix to Utah to California that was sold to me by the first scammer Cameo Mini Service Pups for $1,200.00. Both of their websites need to be shut down because I am not the only person they have scammed. I have filed reports with the FTC and IC3 with the FBI. Hopefully someone will identify and catch these scammers using people love for animals as their targets to scam. The scam happened in March 9 - March 14, 2025. The emails the scammer from Phoenix Travels Logistics used was [email protected]. The email the scammer used from Cameo Mini Service Pups is [email protected].

I was scammed by two scammer I believe working together. The first scammer was Cameo Mini Service Pups that breeds chow chow puppies I went online to purchase and gave them $1,200.00. The second scammer was Phoenix Travels Logistics which is responsible for the air transportation of the puppies which I gave $4,308 for items like thermal crates for puppies $968.00; Pet Life Insurance $1,570.00; and CITES PERMIT $1,780.00. All this was for the transportation of the Pets that Cameo Mini Service Pups according to Phoenix Travels Logistics did not pay. I reluctantly gave my Passport ID; Social Security #, and took a selfie for the so-called CITES PERMIT which I believe was a scam to get my personal information for additional scams of identity thief. The websites for Phoenix Travels Logistics and Cameo Mini Service Pups need to be removed before other people are scammed out of money like me. I loss $5,508.00 which I will never get back because of my love for animals and I was not thinking straight.

We were looking for a teacup puppy for my young daughter, the website looked real , extensive information, made payment in website for the selected puppy via credit card, received the confirmation email then no other confirmation. Went back on the website to see if puppy showed sold but still said available. So left voicemail, email, text to get a response to confirm. A day later received email and text from a different name then website and call from different number sounding like a foreigner who said the payment did not go through and we needed to send it 2 ways , zelle or venmo when on the website it did give credit card and others as a form of payment. The foreigner got mad when i stated credit card was option and rude and stopped responding when i said i would report him. This was a scam!

We went to samuelaussies.com looking for a new puppy, originally the cost was $600 for the puppy and $200 for shipping, the they asked for an additional $2,000 for the crate which was to be refunded once the puppy was delivered which was sent by wire transfer, then they told us they needed another $3,000 for transfer of ownership papers and that the puppy was being held in quarantine at the Sacramento airport and we needed to get the money to them in the next 40-minutes or we wouldn’t get the puppy until that money was transferred. That’s when we told them this is a scam and we would not send anymore money and that’s when everything went silent from them.

This web site for dog adoptions seems fraudulent. Several dogs are the same dog just fake locations. Just an example.

Same dog. Doesn't seem to be a mistake.

Buying a puppy. They wanted gift cards and pictures of them. Email from expresss580@aol. Puppy was being held needing paperwork and a crate. Wanted more money and if I didn't pay right away I would be charged daily storage. City Express Delivery was name of shipper requesting money. Identical scam as previously noted on BBB.

Scammer reached out after puppy inquiry on my end. Spoke for a while through email before deciding to go through with the process, they gave a bunch of different payment options but I went with most convenient at the time and chose Apple Pay to this number : +1 (404) 840-0758

They continued to send me updates through the morning when they started getting weird and said they would be busy but the shipping company would be reaching out. The ‘shipping’ company then asked for anothe $980 and said that it would be fully or partially reimbursed at $950 in cash. At this point we knew it was a scam and stopped contact but the initial payment is gone. We are heartbroken.
