Texted Microsoft, as I kept getting messages Microsoft could not connect to my acct (msgs were on my phone). The guy on the phone (sounded Middle Eastern) asked me to hold while he talked to another tech. Don't know if same guy or not, came on the phone and told me the problem had been found and it was a glitch in microsoft 365 and they were going to rèimburse me $200.00 and send me a new program. He said he was going to put a form on my screen for them to reimburse me and I was to type in the amount of $200 and when I did, the amount changed to 20K. He went into this "woe is me" where he was going to lose his job and that I should go to the bank and withdraw 19,600.00. I was not to tell the Bank the reason of the withdrawal, other Than I was buying a new car and I was to stay on the phone with him. I said "this is a scam" which, of course, he denied. So I went to the Bank and whispered "I have a scammer on the phone and they tried to talk to him and he kept asking for me. I had to go to another branch for the manager to close everything. The manager is African American and when she tried to talk to him, he kept calling the manager the n word. Fortunately, I recognized what he was trying to do. Unfortunately, an awful lot of people fall for the scam.
