I was towed there with a flat tire, and when things got shady I began questioning the 'owner' EDWARD CARRION. The tow driver left me in the cab while talking to EC. He then came back and reported two options: Patch $30, used tire, $60. I watched as mechanic started to fill tire on my car with air. EC came up and whispered something to mechanic, who immediately stopped with the air and took the tire off. I was texting w/husb who reminded me I have a full spare. I went to ask EC to use that. He gave me some bullcrap about it being expired. I don't know, I'm not a mechanic and couldn't see the spare under my care which he hadn't even looked at. When I questioned him he said the tire was already off and too bad. That's what the driver told him to do. I said "That driver is not my boss," and we went back and forth. He claimed the tire was shredded and started yelling; telling me to get out of there; he wasn't going to repair my tire! I was stranded far from home but he kept insisting I leave, until I resorted to begging. No effect on him. Then I was truly crying. He finally relented (maybe b/c his POOR wife and kid in earshot in the office). I asked mechanic to show me the 'shredded' and he pointed to some brown 18" streak of discoloration on the sidewall near the tread.
I have no evidence now but took it to a tire place when I got home (Culver City) and sure enough, the tire he sold me was bald on the inside.
At first I thought he only saw a grey haired woman with a cane, but then I read all the negative Yelp reviews of him using the word SCAMMER over and over.
The icing on the cake was EC wanted to be paid in cash or Zelle. I can only assume he's evading taxes too, and your office should pass that on to whoever's jurisdiction that is as well.
