Posed as a buyer and then told me that their purchase was declined and that I had to contact an email to get further verified to accept larger payments. Tried to get me to purchase Apple Pay cards $500 and promised $250 extra bonus when they refunded my money as soon as account was verified. Said it would only take a few minutes. They even text me from "Mercari representatives" offering to help me follow the process and get verified asap. They posed as two different customers at the same time trying to rush me into doing it over a few days.

I did not fall for any of it so I didn't lose anything but they were very convincing.
