Both numbers called and left automated voicemails stating I had 4 allegations to my name and to call back immediately before local cops would be sent out to arrest me. The numbers were from Virginia, not the state I live in and they left this message multiple times. I called and asked for the woman who answered for her full name and how she got my information and she hung up on me. I called back again, this time got a man, who tried to explain that he was a sergeant in the IRS (which doesn't sound right to me...) and that I owed the IRS money. I asked him if he could mail the documents to me and that if he was indeed in the IRS that he could look up my address and send them, I would not give him any info over the phone. He then also hung up on me.

Phone call from ?+1 (425) 660-9774?

Stating that they haven’t received a response from me and are filing a lawsuit with the United States Governtment.

- Marrero, LA, USA

I was called today (robo call) I was told the IRS owes me money and if I didn’t call them back, within a certain amount of time a warrant for my arrest will be issued. I course I laughed I know this is a scam I just wanted to report this.

- Cleveland, OH, USA

I received an automated message on my cell phone. The message stated this is a call from the IRS. We are contacting you in regards to a legal matter. You or an attorney can contact us. They left phone number. 361-445-0136. I did not call the number back. You can tell it is a robocall. This is the third such call we received.

- Nashville, TN, USA

Claimed to be the IRS. Left a voicemail saying that the IRS has serious allegations against me.

- Hartford, CT, USA

I received a voicemail stating there was fraud on my social, it was an automated message, and not a very professional sounding one: it was choppy and suspect. so i called the number and the guy sounded middle eastern, i asked to speak with a manager, after having me on hold forever they just hung up. I tried to research the number on BBBs phone number search option and the number was not tied to anything which further leads me to believe it was a fraud.

They addressed themselves as the IRS and stated that they filed a lawsuit under my name

- Lafayette, LA, USA

I received a phone call today @ 2:15 by a woman saying that she was from the IRS and there was a warrant out for my arrest because of fraudulent reports by me to the IRS. She gave a phone number to call back immediately before I would be arrested. She called me from a phone number that showed the call was coming from Virginia. The # was 765-230-5563. I did not response to the call but I wanted to let you know that these calls are still being made in Lafayette.

- Polk City, FL, USA

I received several calls from this telephone number stating they were from the Internal Revenue collection Office. They also left a message saying they were going to seized our wages and our bank account because I am not paying taxes. They said they mail a letter which I never received. I called the number left and they were harassing me and kept asking for my personal information.

I have almost a hundred of these calls on my cell phone. I have several hang up calls a day let alone the threatening voicemail calls.  I have been getting automated messages that leave repetitive messages to my cell STERNLY telling me a case has been filed by the IRS, which is time sensitive, and I or my attorney need to call back this minute at 410-670-5642. If we don't, they say I will have to pay the legal consequences!!! It goes on to say  that if I don't call, a case will be filed by IRS. This is a scam because it goes to voicemail and before I have talked to someone who didn't speak English very well once. I started blocking all the numbers now.

I have been getting automated messages that leave repetitive messages to my cell STERNLY telling me a case has been filed by the IRS. The message says it is time sensitive and that I or my attorney need to call back this minute and repeat their number two times. Then it goes on to say that if I don't call, the IRS will file a case. It also says that the second I receive this message, I or my attorney need to call them at 410-670-5642. If neither of us calls, they say there will be legal consequences!!! I called them back once and reached someone who didn't speak English well. Lastly all these numbers are fakers calling over the past few days they are from east to west coast. Honestly I have not called all of them back but they seem to disconnect them as soon as they your cell phone or shortly after they threaten you and don't get the response they want which is me sending them money.

410-670-5462 & 410-670-5642

Sounded Asian. Jail time for not paying. I’ve called back and someone did answer more than once. 1-866-224-2062

Was told warrant out for arrest for tax fraud in 2018. Do not speak with anyone about this. Paperwork to be delivered next day. Send money via Google Play card(s).

Called saying they was going to have me arrested.after calling and being hung up on 3 times telling them I was calling police and attorney I figured to report here too. They claim they are with the IRS.

- Reynoldsburg, OH, USA

I got a message from the IRS that I had an issue in the previous six months. The voicemail went on to say they are considering it fraud, and a lawsuit was filed against me and I should call their department at 631-614-0786. I called back. They wouldn't explain anything to me. Since then they've called 20 times. The caller, a man, had an accent.

- Upper Lake, CA, USA

The call was a robo call telling me it was my last chance to stop the IRS from suing me. I was told to call 202-684-7715. I didn't call so that is all I know about it.

Called and left several messages stating that my SSN has been compromised and they haven't got a response from me so it has been considered intentional fraud and lawsuit has been filed under my name by the US government, and to call them back.

- Tucson, AZ, USA

I received a phone call with an automated voice telling me that it is my last chance to pay some fee that I did not pay to the IRS and that I would get arrested unless I called them back and paid the fee. I called the number back to tell them to stop calling me and an Indian man answered the phone as an "IRS agent". I immediately said "Stop calling me. Take me off your phone list I know this is a scam." He responded with "Okay, okay we will". He then hung up.

- Tucson, AZ, USA

"This is a call from the IRS and we have a warrant for your arrest and you must...." and I hung up at that point because I knew it was a scam. They called me a total of three times using different phone numbers and different states. First two calls were recorded type calls (not a real person) and the third call was an actual person, female, "Is this (my name). I am from the IRS...."

Very heavy accent, couldn't even pronounce my name correctly. I just kept saying, "Please take me off your call list" over and over until she finally hung up. She did, at one point say, this is not an airplane!

The first number indicated it was calling from Illinois: 217-548-4345 at 11:52 AM; second call indicated it was calling from Texas: 281-816-7661 1:48 PM; and the third call indicated it was from Arizona: 480-923-9756 at 1:53 PM all on Wednesday, January 16, 2019

- Madison, AL, USA

A caller left me a message that I had 4 serious allegations on my name and if I didn't respond the police would arrest me.

I returned the call and a person with foreign accent answered. He very rapidly and he said who he worked for. I said you work for the Internal Revenue Service of the US and he said yes. I questioned him as to why he was calling when the IRS doesn't contact you by phone and I asked for his supervisor. The man gave me the name of John Rogers. When I said this is a scam, he hung up. I have two separate messages about this from 2 separate numbers.
