The Imposter IRS called me at 1:30 PM today (ph. 229-231-3339); David Craig left a msg for me to return the call. When I called back I spoke to a woman but I could not understand her; she had a foreign accent. She stated she was calling from Georgia and said she w/the U.S. Treasury and I owed the IRS $6350 from 2011. If I did not send the money she would have to turn the papers to someone and have me arrested. I just hung up on her.

I received a call from the "IRS" stating that they have been trying to reach me as a law suit is pending against me. When they confirmed my name-they used my previous married name. That's when it hit me, that if they are trying to sue me, they must have my name, ssn, address and every form of contact for me. I said a few choice words to them, said if they were the IRS they would have this info. The phone numbers they called from were:

Was left automated message stating all of my property was under investigation, threatening legal prosecution. Called the number and after nine rings, man said I had received a call from this number and want to know who you are. After a few pauses, he said, "IRS." He refused to answer any further questions and I refused to answer his. He had a foreign accent and there was one other voice echoing in the background. He asked me if my name was (could not understand) and I said no. He hung up. Clearly not the IRS.

IRS agent Ron Watson, badge # 0026249 called to say that I owed $6,000 in taxes and that I needed to pay or they would be turning it over to the Federal Marshal and I would be arrested. The number was 202-306-0453

A few weeks earlier I had a call from Agent Christopher Madisroon, badge 11738, who stated I owed $6350 in interest and penalties and again I was told I would be arrested. Both had foreign accents and wanted to know if I had access to money.

We have been receiving phone calls stating that the IRS is suing us for unpaid taxes. The call back number is 206-204-4739. When I called them back and told them I was calling from an attorney's office and was going to have them arrested they promptly hung up the phone on me. We have received these types of scams before and we're getting tired of it. They not only had our phone number but our names and our address! This is scary and upsetting!!!!
